Idina Menzel has just been announced as the new Elphaba for the London Cast of Wicked ! That's right, you never thought it would happen, but Idina Menzel will be returning to the role as the green girl from Oz, in London!
IDINA MENZEL, star of the original Broadway production of WICKED, will recreate her award-winning role in London for a limited season.
Winner of the 2004 Tony® Award for ‘Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical’, Idina Menzel will make her West End debut as ‘Elphaba’, the misunderstood green girl whose destiny is to become the Wicked Witch of West.
She is expected to perform the role until the New Year.
