I thought it would be appropriate to have a thread for all of the notable people that pass away. Just in the last few days we've lost Gary Coleman, Dennis Hopper, and a few others. It's been a pretty sad year in Hollywood (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

We've lost another Golden Girl (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Former Madam Morrible on Broadway, Rue McClanahan, passed away at 1am this morning at the age of 76. I'm beyond sad about this. She was a great actress and she will be missed.

I am so, so, so saddened by this.

I saw her as Madame Morrible, which was such a pleasure for me because I was pretty much raised on The Golden Girls (reruns, of course, but my dad was *obsessed*.)

This morning when I was in school I saw Perez Hilton's tweet saying that he heard some very bad rumors about Rue that he hoped weren't true, and he was sending her good vibes. So I googled her and saw that she underwent heart bypass surgery, but her doctors said she was doing well and had accepted a new job for January. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Then I just logged onto yahoo during my study hall and saw that she died. I'm so beyond upset!!

Sorry for the rambling. I loved her. </3 Rest in Peace Rue. Thanks for the laughs!

RIP, Rue. At least she's not sick anymore, but it's still very sad. I can't believe there's only one left.

RIP, Rue.

I might be wrong but I think she's older than Estelle was when she passed away also (I think she was 84, 85?).

Betty White is 88 I believe. I'm glad Rue had a long and fulfilling life. She's the third in the 'celebrities die in 3's'. RIP Blanche!

EDIT: I was right, she is 88.

I feel like I should be eating cheesecake and watching old Golden Girl reruns...

Very sad news about Gloria RIP. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) After rewatching Titanic recently I thought her and Kathy Bates were the best people in it. Kate was great and so was Leo, but Gloria's performance was obviously the best. RIP.

Also a few weeks ago Billie Mae Richards, who voiced Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer in the 1964 tv special passed away at age 88.

Tony Curtis was a very successful and famous actor in his own right. It's sad that he's apparently known only as "Jamie Lee Curtis's father." RIP.

He's not only known as that obviously. I didn't even know he was her father until just a little while ago today. I heard of his passing earlier today but didn't look into it. But people might not recognize him at all and that helps to mention he was her father.
