Knut the polar bear, who became a global media sensation as a cub after being rejected by his mother and reared by hand, died suddenly for unexplained reasons on Saturday, the Berlin Zoo said.

http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/-/world/9...star-knut-dies/

Someone else said that maybe Knut had problems, and his mother sensed it when he was born, and that's why she rejected him. Animals seem to be able to tell when their offspring isn't going to survive long.

I know this isn't a famous person or even a person at all but I want to post it here.

My neighbor's dog, Cooper, was put to sleep this morning. He was 11 years old and a black lab.

One of the best dogs in the entire world. A real sweetheart and wonderful companion. I dogsat for him dozens of times and I was his favorite person. Probably because I spoiled him like crazy when his family went out of town and I would stay there every night with him. Towards the end he developed diabetes and arthritis and just finally cancer. But despite all that, he mustered all his strength to jump and run to greet me whenever I came over. I am glad I got to see him one last time on Saturday. I'm very glad he's no longer suffering, he had also developed a tumor in his mouth and was prone to seizures.

Our neighbors have a 6 year old boy and this dog was like his big brother. He's devastated. Its too hard to grasp this for such a young child.

I know Cooper is in a better place and he's no longer suffering but its going to be so hard coming to their house and not being greeted by him.

Death, you suck. Taking grandpa on Easter!

So my aunt found my grandpa dead in bed yesterday morning. Totally unexpected. Yes, he's had Parkinson's for twenty years and dementia for about 5, but he hasn't been any sicker than he's been for years.
