I like...I forget when it happens, but like, Fiyero says "I've been thinking" and..maybe elphaba goes "so i've heard." it was absoluterly amazing when I saw it...made me just about pee my pants.

I never listened to the Finale until I saw the show. I'm not sure why, but it was absolutley unbelievable because I had no idea what to expect. I love the Finale.

Anytime someone says "you deserve each other" theres alot of "deserving" in this show, that line always strikes me, oh and "They seemed thrilled to sheds with there brains,..and there hearts,...and... this and that" LOL the way Carole Shelley says it! PRICELESS

It's always been, to me, the most powerful part of the show. Yes, the actual "Defying Gravity" bit's all symbolic and stuff, but these verses in particular are really what stuck with me the most.

The stuff about power in Popular and (pre-)Wonderful ("Did they have brains or knowledge? *Cheno voice* Don't make me laugh! Please! They were POPULAR*/Cheno voice*" & "A man's called a traitor, or a liberator...") Strikes me as too true.

Love the philosophy in Dancing Through Life, actually. "Life is frotless when your'e thoughtless - those who don't try never look foolish" is a favorite.

The "Bridges you cross you didn't know you crossed until you crossed". Brilliant in being completely awkwardly formed but just *right*

These are, I guess, some of the more serious ones that got me on a more personal level (*gets sappy*). As for comedic brilliance....

I adore Morrible's "Not to fret, we'll find *some place* to put you" So brilliant, so overlooked.

Fiyero's "I happen to be GENUINELY self-absorbed and DEEPLY shallow". Plus "No, not REALLY stupid" Plus "You've been *disgusted look* Galindafied"

Popular in general. "Just wear the frock, it's pretty" (as delivered by Cheno)

The cornfield & Kiamo Ko Elphaba vs. Glinda scenes. Those two bickering are hilarious. The Wizard of Oz throwbacks ("You just take that one road..." "Must have been raised in a barn!" "They're just shoes, let it go!" "And the poor little dog, Dodo" etc), the snapping... Love.

Bah, just every other line in the show, really.

Also, am I the only one here who isn't all that into "It's MEEE?" I kinda see the importance, but... dunno... to me it's not such a life-altering line. *shrug* To each their own, I guess. Same with "the girl in the mirror".

I've never liked that one because it's sort of presumptuous of Elphaba. She knows Fiyero for 2 days and knows he's sad deep down? I know she's perceptive, but that's a bit much.

But I too love Glinda's "Is this how other people feel?"

In the musical, Beauty and the Beast Belle only knew the Beast for a short time as well, but she saw that deep down he was sad and lonely as well.

Well, when someone takes you prisoner you know very well they have problems.

Elphaba is meant to have like a 6th sense if it were.
Its displayed in "The Wizard and I" very well. She sings "unlimited...my future is unlimited...and I've just had a vision almost like a prophecy." In that line, it's a subtle way to show she has amazing gifts. Its mentioned in the novel and its hinted at in the show. At least that's what some of the actors told me at a talk back. It was featured MUCH more in the early drafts but they decided to make it more of a "is she or isnt she?" kinda thing. It's also shown after "As Long As You're Mine" when she says "My sisters in danger...I dont know I just do" she knows when people are in pain and she can have visions.

Another line that I like is:

"Don't you think I wish I could? I would give anything to turn back the clocks and go back to that time when I actually believed that you were wonderful, the wonderful wizard of oz, no one believed in you more than I did!"
