According to WICKED (meaning the Broadway musical) how does Dorothy get back home to Kansas? I know the plot is centered mainly around the two witches, but I've always wondered about this. I mean, in the musical Nessa's shoes having the power to take you anywhere at the tap of heels and saying "There's no place like home!" is never mentioned in any way. So what do y'all think?

I think she got home the same way in the book.
I don't think it was essential to the plot to include that in wicked....

Wicked isn't really about Dorothy so I think they chose to leave that unanswered. I would assume she left with the Wizard's "help" as she does in the original book/film.

In the book it is the same as the movie, essentially. only they have to travel all the way to Glinda's castle in Quadling Country before they find out the power the shoes have. the Wizard helped Dorothy get home in no way whatsoever. And i understand Wicked's not really about Dorothy, as i said before. But i just am curious.

I think that they just leave you to assume that she gets home the same way as in The Wizard of Oz.

Technically, it's before, during and after Dorothy drops in. But, you're right, mainly before she drops in.
