Yes, but: can she sing?

I'm all for Kristen Bell as Galinda. She's short, blonde, perky AND she can sing and dance. What more could you want?
Nessarose

Kristen Bell all the way!!!
She can sing, yes
She would be a really good Galinda, that's all I'm saying

You mean Alison Lohman?

... imdb.com, bay-bee! Look here:

"By age 9 she had landed her first professional, theatrical role playing Gretyl in "The Sound of Music" at Palm Desert's McCallum Theater. At 11, Alison won the Desert Theater League's award for "Most Outstanding Actress in a Musical" for the title role in "Annie" and by age 17 she had appeared in 12 different productions. An accomplished singer, she performed as a featured solo vocalist for Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and the Desert Symphony."

She's also 5'2 AND young enough--I say why not Alison Lohman!? (and Kristen Bell, w00t).

I would love to see K Bell as Glinda too. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw her in Reefer Madness.

Me too! Why not both Alison AND Kristen!? I've always thought that some shows would benefit by having two actresses share a lead role, so why not Wicked? I mean, one of them could play matinees and another could do the evening shows, that way they'd still perform but they'd still get some time off. Eight shows a week is too strenuous for some people, especially on that raked stage at the Gershwin.

Besides, it would be good for people who can't pick favorites... LIKE ME!

(Also, wouldn't it be wonderful to have a revival of Funny Girl with Steph AND Idina as Fanny Brice? Really, the possibilities are endless. There are so many combinations... I feel a new thread coming on!)

Ana has played Fanny Brice!

I think I found it on the Defying Gravity group on myspace. I can take it down or give her credit for it if she wants me to.

A revival of Funny Girl with Steph would make me very happy (Funny Girl is one of my favorites && her Don't Rain On My Parade is amazing!!)

Have you heard Sho singing Cornet Man??? She's very good = )

I'd love to see Kristin Bell as Glinda! I love her to death on Veronica Mars.

I just watched Reefer Madness last night. She seemed PERFECT for Glinda!!!

In Teen People, she said that she hopes her next role is on stage.

Woooah....but not until Veronica Mars gets canceled...which hopefully won't be for a few more awesome seasons!

Dang, my two greatest loves: On the one hand, I would love to see K-Bell as Glinda ASAP, but on the other...oooh, I just can't be without my Veronica Mars!

Yeah, I thought about that today, but since I watch Lost instead of Veronica Mars (same time slot, grr) I'm not too worried about Veronica Mars so they can cast her NOW!
