I saw the show on the 18th of July. We had tickets for row V in the orchestra. My friend and I were walking around Times Square and we decided to go to the Gershwin the afternoon to admire it and everything before that night, haha. So while we were there, there was a line, and we figured it was for the lotto (which it was.) So we decided that we might as well put or names in and hope for the best and expect nothing. About 7 names were called, and I said to my friend, "V isnt that bad." And as I said "V," MY FRIEND'S NAME WAS CALLED. AHH. After we finished spasming, she got in line, and I gave her 25 dollars. I went inside the theatre as she was at the ticket office, eagerly waited as she gave me a ticket, and ran over to the little seating chart to see where it was. We were directly to the right of DEAD CENTER. I still can't believe it (we also won the lotto for RENT, ended up sitting front row right/center, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, front row left-center.) It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I regret posting a review this late, but heres just some comments I have on some people:
Eden: Although this was my first time seeing the show, I've seen clips and such of the other Elphabas, and Eden is possible my favorite Broadway Elphaba. Not all the riffs she tried out were perfect, but it was amazing to see a new twist to the character and some lines. During The Wizard and I, she made a small little flub in one of the lines (not anything noticeable) and I started laughing, and she WINKED AT ME. Gah, the entire thing was so amazing.
Kate: I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of hers. I loved her voice, but it seemed to be a character-voice for the entire show, and I didn't really like that. She was simply obnoxious at points. Her Popular nearly had me peeing my pants, though.
Derrick: He's from Norfolk! And he worked at Busch Gardens! He's basically my alter ego! I have no complaints about him.
Robb: Again, no complaints, (and rather cute, too)
Carol: Aha, I've seen clips of her from the tour, and I was scared to see her. But apparantly she's had some MAJOR improvement. I was really impressed.

We wanted to stage door afterwards, but it was pouring. Like, people under the theatre cheering as people ran to taxis and being blown away by the wind. Many umbrellas were whisked away. Kind of sad...
Now I'll have to go to Chicago to see it. I want to see Briana Yacavone!(heh, she went to my high school. I've had the pleasure of meeting her once after one of the productions I was in at the school, and I'd love to see her perform.)
