Not that I don't like her or anything, but she's been in Wicked a REALLY long time...I think she needs to try something new...but whatever...she's probably staying til march when JLG's supposed to take over...

you would think she's about to KILL nessarose by now. i don't think i could do the same role. every week 8 times. i would go completely crazy! same with sean mccourt.

It's only been 2 years, and if she loves it that much and wants to stay thats her voice.

yes, but he's awesome and extremely nice so he shouldn't go (at least not yet). besides, he just (well, not exactly just, but recently) got a real cast role, so it wouldn't make sense for him to leave now.

I don't know what to believe anymore one sorce says she's leaving and one says she's staying. Who am i supposed to believe, i'd like to believe she's staying. I'd rather have Sean leave, he was so off pitch and wasn't a very good Dr. Dillamond.

And Jenna is taking over in 3 months...so she must be leaving. I can ask January 7th, when I see it.

Michelle is really really sweet and a great singer/actress. But I am ready for a new face/voice. I am SO excited to see Jenna. I have loved her ever since watching all the Sabrina stuff! :rock:

Yeah, I see where you're coming from, but at the same time, I would like to see Jenna as Nessarose. I'd like to hear what she sounds like as Nessa.

Michelle is going to be Julia Roberts' understudy in Three Days of Rain. So she is definitely leaving Wicked.

No matter how much she may love the actual show, she has to be sick of playing Nessa.. She has to be totally bored with the character. They probably just talked her into staying until Jenna is able to move to Broadway. I mean she is involved in the show with Julia Roberts, so she is allowed to do other work because she is only the understudy. But I'm sure she wants to get out of Wicked ASAP.

8 shows a week has got to be rough!

Yeah, after a while, she might start "phoning it in" as my director calls it. You just get so bored with the role that you just do it, and don't really pay attention to the character. It's a very easy thing to do once you are comfortable with your character. I'm not saying that she does that, it's just a very common thing amoung actors and actresses that are in roles for long periods of time.

They also have to do the "illusion of the first time" make every performance seem as if it is the first. I think it would get tired to it really easily!

Michelle has changed it up alot though. I've seen videos from when it 1st started. After a year and then live in November. All 3 she played it very different, but true a new face/voice would be nice.

I am glad Jenna will be the new Nessa! She has had a lot of practice and she will continue to improve. I am excited to see Michelle this Saturday though!

Yeah if I was in the show I would have a really hard time leaving as well.
