If you could see Wicked with anyone who has ever been in it, who would you choose as the cast? I'd want the entire OBC, minus Michelle. Jenna would be Nessarose.

The rest of the cast was good, but she was so bad that it ruined the show. It was worse than the time I saw the OBC and Idina forgot how to sing.)

i must say that i'm not a huge fan of kate.

The problem with Kate is that she plays Galinda soooo differently from the rest. She's tall, skinny and very spastic and she uses those traits to her advantage. It does take a while to get used to her, but she does have a good voice and she does pull it off... she's not my personal favorite (I'm now more of a Hilty fan) but I do enjoy her!

I don't think it's a "problem"...it's just different...like the first time I saw a Kristin video I was like "WOW! Galinda's not hyper!" I mean, it was a little shocking but I didn't automatically think "she sucks." I personally like the hyper spastic Galinda...probably because that's how I would portray her if I played Galinda...

Sorry, just a rant....I just get evil when I see people state their opinions like it's a fact...I respect everyone's opinion...really I do!

No, I agree--it's not a problem, at least not for me, because I really wasn't bothered by it. She plays it SO differently from the rest, though, and it might be a problem for people to get used to it. Different preferences, and all.

I think you make a good point about how you would portray Galinda. It's good to make that comparison. Everyone does it differently!

I know she seems so much taller!! When I met her I was like "Whoa! you're as tall as me!"

And I'm a writer/actress (well...for fun anyway, i'm still in school) but that's what I consider myself in the "extracurricular activities" category...so I pay a LOT of attention to character development...Galinda, to me, was how I envisioned the popular girl at school, who to me was always perky and hyper or just plain mean...I didn't think that Galinda was just plain mean so when I was first "introduced" to that character, a perky person is what I pictured...

If I saw Wicked I would want to see the OBC all except for Joel Grey. (sorry but i would prefer a Wizard with a less irritating voice).

Kate can sing? She sounds like she's scratching at something. I could deal with the singing b/c it's not bad, but she doesn't allow any relationship whatsoever to develop with Elphaba. She doesn't understand the role. I don't mind her spasticness at all, in fact JLT and and Megan Hilty pull that off great, but she doesn't get the serious parts at all, and it ruins the entire show. Which is really a shame b/c Ana's acting is so good.
