About 45 minutes ago, audience members at the Gershwin Theatre were enjoying a wonderful performance by Shoshana. She ran off after the Wizard's scene in Act One. When Elphaba emerged from the pit to enter the attic scene (also known as the Defy Gravity scene) something was wrong. Elphaba was now being played by Saycon.

OMG Bob is seeing it tonight! I hope he isn't upset! Probably not because he loves Saycon. He was so excited when he won the Saycon Soundboard.

At least he got a picture with her last night!

Just trying to read between the lines, but it looks like they knew from the start of the show that Sho might not be able to make it through the entier matinee so they had Saycon already to go. Hopefully, Sho can get alot of rest tonight and be healthy enough to do her final show tomorrow.

And then, there should be a collection of good luck charms made and sent to Ana in Chicago for her final performance later this month. (it is this month, right?)

LOL! Yes, I'll take them to her before the show since I'm going to it, lol.

OMG. I cannot belive that! I SERIOUSLY hope that she will be playing tomorrow!!! I'm 90% sure she will recover. Hopefully.... :whoa:

It would be so sad if she didn't get to perform her final show. When I heard Idina didn't I felt so bad for her, I know I would have wanted to be there.

This is so horrible and eerie. They think it's a flu bug because other cast members have it, and even Saycon was coughing when she went on. I cannot imagine how they must feel, the day before one of them is supposed to leave.

Sheesh...this is gonna sound weird, but I almost feel bad for Fiyero, since Elphie and Fiyero are supposed to kiss...

Ok...I did not see the performance when this happened. But I saw the ones after it. But I was at the stage door after the matinee. People told us that she left 30 minutes into the show because of a voice problem. I asked Saycon if she was going to perform tonight and she said yes. Toay is her last day. 2 performances today, hopefully she will be in both if not, hopefully just her last.

There is 1 performance today.
We were talking to the conductor and he said that Sho's been fighting something. Rue McClanahan was also out.

I hope no one else gets hurt or sick. I hate to hear about them not feeling good.
