Wow, I come back from the two shows and my megan sikora thread totally got thread jacked and locked! HAHAHAHAHAHAH. Wow. Anyway, I wasn't going to review but there are things I need to say about tonight's show. Guys, I LOST. MY. MIND. during Eden's rise in DG. Seriously, I could not breathe...Again, LOST. MY. MIND. And then I burst into tears.

I know this is illegal, but PLEASE, just hear this...PLEASE. This is where I literally lost my breath and almost started hyperventilating.

TELL ME, have you ever heard anyone, including Eden, sing it like that?

Megan Sikora was amazing. I think, with more time and practice, she has the potential to fill some big shoes and be the actual Glinda. Phenomenal voice and acting. She has both Kate and Megan mannerisms and has her own thing too. I won't go into too much depth with her because it was all about Eden's DG. Specifically, the rise. Wow, she held onto that It's meee note forever.
What's so astonishing is that she said some things during intermission that made me go "HOLY F*CK, you're amazing for pulling that DG off." I ran out of the Gersh at intermission to pee and just was in absolute shock. But, yay, first one in the bathroom!

Okay don't hurt me, but I don't like it when she does the "Everyone..." part. It sounds too pop-ish or something... and doesn't fit with the song.
I still love Eden though and I'll miss her when she leaves.

I sort of feel the same way now that I've listened to the whole thing. In my opinion, this is NOT one of her best DG's. I noticed she is sometimes a little off and out of tune, and most of it was just yelling, and no singing. I KNOW Eden can sing it, but she just YELLS. Now like I said I love Eden and she is phenomenally talented, she just needs to SING more than YELL.

hmmm.... idk. i don't like her new everyone deserves. i mean, dont get me wrong i love riffing but that was just plain deviating from the original material.

holy moses that was pure odd to listen too....she made it way pop and she sounded like like shoshana singing the ME's...and her first me was a tad awkwardly not good....shes done better

Yup, on nights when she's a bit more subdued. I really didn't think highly of this clip, she's off key and nasal a lot. But a lot of people like her so, just IMHO.

I'm not going today either :cry: But, we'll be thinking of her and wishing her the best of luck as she sings her heart out. :mrgreen:

I have heard her sing it that way. There was a video on youtube specifically titled "Eden SIngs it's ME" hahaha and i think it was when she was sick because she also did they same "Everyone" thing. But honestly, I loved how she sang it,I thought it was perfection and I got chills.

Um... someone tell me why she sounded so perfect there? It was incredible. Seriously. Wow. I am so impressed. The "It's Me!" sounded perfect, as did the final yell.

I thought she was nasal to the max, and her "it's MEEEEEEEEE" hurt my ears a little bit.. But I think shes super talented, just SO SO SO inconsistent with the things she does with the songs.

I think the reason why Eden changed things up so much is becuase there was a different conductor and she tends to try new things when the main conductor is not there. Ask Sharleen she can proove it. And plus it was one of her final shows so she wanted to try some new things and just have fun with it.
