omg so there's eight billion reviews of Eden's last show posted so here's the assorted pre-show stories... so first things first, this is like the base of half my stories: I had this drawing of Eden as Brooklyn with me, really big, like two feet tall, framed and stuff, that I did for her in honor of her last performance, you know. So I've got it under my arm and I'm out on Gershwin St looking for some friends who were supposed to meet me and this cute older lady comes up to me and she's like, where did you get that? I told her I drew it for Eden because we'd miss her and everything and she's all "Yes I can tell it's Eden, it's her as Brooklyn, it looks just like her, it's beautiful!" So of course I'm like well thank you very much and she goes "I'm Eden's grandmother!"
Me: :whoa: hiiii!!!!
so she asked me my name and if I'd get to give Eden the picture personally and everything, and I told her I hoped so because I was going backstage and all, and so we talked for about ten minutes and I met Eden's grandfather too, it was really cool!!
okay so then we (me and Heidi and Brandon) stood in the lotto line and WON, so second row tickets in hand, we headed off to meet Gaelen at the stagedoor for 2:00. She showed up and we all got in the elevator and were talking and I lovelovelove Gaelen, she is SO SWEET.
here's us with Gaelen!!

so Gaelen is showing us around, where all the quick changes are done, the green baby (squuuiiiishy!), the wheelchair, I saw Eden's broom, the wizard head, it was soo cool! and then I was following Gaelen and she was walking and talking and all of a sudden she stopped and stopped talking... and I turn my head to the left and I'm in the MIDDLE OF THE STAGE LOOKING OUT AT THE HOUSE. :happy1: I almost went into cardiac arrest. THEN I realized that less than ten feet away from me was GLINDA'S BUBBLE. me: *gasps in awe* thinks *Megan Hilty was here*
me and the bubble!!!!

So we leave the stage and head for the dressing rooms. Gaelen knocks on Eden's door and Cathy, her dresser, opens it and we ask if we can see Eden and Cathy's like I'm really sorry but she's really busy she's getting ready to go to makeup, I don't think she can come talk right now. Me: "well could you please give her this picture, tell her I'm really sorry I couldn't deliver it myself but I hope she likes it" and Cathy takes the picture but before she leaves the door opens all the way and THERE IS EDEN ESPINOSA! (I would like to add that I am VERY proud of myself for not acting like a total fangirl at that moment)
Eden: (clearly not expecting four people outside her door) Whoa.
Eden: *looks at picture* whoa. who did that?
me: *raises hand*
Eden: wow!
me: *turns bright red*
I can't remember the whole conversation cos I was ridiculously happy, but I will say that like in the middle of a sentence she turned to Cathy and was like 'do I have parsnip or something in my teeth' and it took all my self restraint to not be like "what what are you all looking at do i have something in my teeth" and yeaaaa I was really happy. :mrgreen:

YAY! I remember when you were telling me all of this and you were like spazzing rofl

Are they re-doing the dressing room hallways?? like are they fixing it up?? If that's Eden's dressing room door behind her, then...the walls look way different.

Oh how I envy you, lol. That's so amazing! And you're so lucky! I've give anything to have been in your shoes.....Ah that's sooooo awesome!!

She asked if there was basil in her teeth. Yay for us being all cool with Gaelen! :-) The rest of the Eden conversation was pretty much about her remembering me from when I interviewed her and then her and Cathy being shocked I travelled so long on a bus just to see her last show. And then us telling her how we were going to miss her and cheer lots for her!

I want to officially thank Brandon for taking us backstage!! It was really nice of you Brandon!! I dont know if I thanked you. So...

Aww, you're welcome Heidi! I had to wait inside the stage door all by myself for soo long. I feel bad you guys thought I ditched you. I would never ditch you Heidi! It was interesting being in there as all the cast members came in. Awkward actually. They were all looking at me like "Who the heck is this person?!"

I remember Heidi was freaking out becuase she thought you deserted her lol

SOOOOOO JEALOUS!!!! hehe jk If I can't get that chance to see Eden backstage I am glad to see that someone who adores Eden just as much did!! SOOOO COOOL!

i'm still in severe withdrawl
i called my best friend the other day and was like i think Eden should come over and we should watch movies and eat pizza and do each other's toenails that sort of thing
it was kinda sad rly lol

AHH that's completely awesome!! Everything..going backstage, getting a picture with Eden outside her dressing room, meeting her grandparents ahh!! Glad you were able to do all this and thanks so much for posting the pic!!
