One final thing on the 'not posting private photos". Why should the performers not post their own pictures for their friends, family, and themselves to view? Sure they are in Broadway shows and such but they are real people, just like everybody else. They just happen to have very cool jobs. But they have friends and family just like any other regular person. Its common sense about whether or not you think its ok to post the photos. And if you are unsure, PM a moderator and we will gladly help you out before you post the picture or pictures.
That being said.... on to posting more appropriate pictures

Most of them add fans they don't know to Facebook, so obviously they don't care if those photos are seen. If they want only friends and family to see a photo, Myspace is perfect because you can make only certain albums private. I'm not treating them differently, I'd say the same thing to anyone. If you have private photos on Facebook, why are you giving people you don't want to view them access? If you really wanted to keep them secret, you'd use something like Myspace so only certain people can see certain photos.
I don't feel sorry for anyone who gets photos "stolen" online. There are warnings everywhere not to post private photos. I don't even post photos for my friends and family online, not even on a private Myspace album.
I'm not saying they're dumb or anything for adding fans. I think that's very nice. But why would they add private photos to a page where thousands of strangers can see them?
Although I don't agree with the rules, I follow them. I just didn't see anything stating we couldn't discuss them.

If someone is "dumb" enough to dress provocatively, that doesn't give anyone the right to rape them. I know that's a very extremely example, but it represents the same thing. Putting yourself out there doesn't give someone the right to take advantage of you.

Feb 17 2009, 05:04 AM
I really don't think the two can be compared.
Besides, what's the difference between Facebook and Myspace? I understand we can post photos from Myspace if it's a public album. Facebook is automatically private. If someone lets everyone who requests to be friends in, they aren't too protective of their photos.
ForGood
Feb 17 2009, 05:08 AM
It's an extremely example of a minor issue. Both illustrate the fact that putting yourself out there doesn't give someone the right to take advantage of you. Someone could argue that because she dressed that way, she obviously wanted it.
clockworkgirl21
Feb 17 2009, 05:12 AM
But whether it's really taking advantage of them is a gray area. You didn't open their private family album sitting on their table and steal the photos. You're posting pictures they've put online themselves, and allow everyone at. If the photos were that private, they wouldn't let unknown fans in. You won't find many people who view rape that way. At least, I hope one wouldn't.
Anyway...

This needs to be bigger!

I quite like her expressions. She's the Wicked Witch of the West.....
For a pretty witch she incorporates a bit of Hammilton which works.

Dee Roscioli's facial expressions are just weird.
degeorgetitanic
Feb 22 2009, 05:41 PM
I dont think any of them are weird. Each Elphaba has their own way of showing emotions. For kerry its through her vocals, for Idina its facial expressions and passion, and for Dee its the same with Idina. I for one just think Idina is the true Elphaba, IMO. I love the first one, it looks like the perfect shot of her starting to rise up.
Fiyero3305
Feb 22 2009, 06:57 PM
I feel Idina overacts quite a lot, especially with her facial exppression which is frequently overdone.
