Ok...so this started out with it being a whole big group of us going out as the MGM Oz characters, but then our Tin Man got sick, our Glinda gained enough weight that her costume no longer fit, our Lion had to go out of town, and I got into a fight with our Dorothy over how the Ruby Slippers would be made, (I was the one costuming all of this) and decided to take back the Ruby Slippers, and that left me and the Scarecrow, and since no one would have gotten that Scarecrow decided to be Freddy Kreuger instead. So I ended up with a pair of Ruby Slippers and my Elphie costume...so I decided, what the hay, I'll dress up as both! So I became the two Wicked Witches of Oz. I didn't win first price (it went to Edward Sisscorhands), but I got second (a whopping 50 bucks! WOOT) and being stained green for several weeks. (NOTE TO ALL: IF you use Wal-Mart's green, do not combine street makeup powder and stage makeup powder to set it...it's volitale and causes SEVERE staining.) I made the entire thing other than the hat and the socks. I dusted gold over my skin to make it more natural and give it depth, and did all my hilighting with purple (Like in WICKED) and my lips are done with a combo of black lipstick and red Maybeline Liquid Diamonds. the ORIGINAL Ruby Slippers were done with red rhinestones, but when Dorothy decided glitter chips would look better (go figure) she changed them...so instead they are just regular old character shoes with red glitter.[list]
