i dont like it because i think they enunciated(???) to much, to much diction, and it just sounds cheap, even the instrumentals

Well, what did you expect? After all, it was just a studio cast, so it's not gonna have the best sound/singers.

the singers were ok, it was just the instrumentals that were cheao. I have karaokes that sound better than that

Most studio casts cds are like that. (I know, I have several.) It's the whole "synthisizer" (sp?) thing that's annoying and ruins it.

You can't win. You annunciate and people complain it's too clear. You dont annunciate and people complain that it's sloppy.

I think its just people singing the songs. They have good voices but they don't seem to be understanding what the song is about. For example in No Good Deed she sounds like she's having a normal day etc. And she sings everything whereas we all know that for some bits you talk them to make it impact kinda thing.

Its ok though but won't beat the cast recording so I don't understand where the market for it is!
Idina
That's not really a studio cast recording, it's the guide vocals CD from the Stage Stars karaoke CD.

And she sings everything whereas we all know that for some bits you talk them to make it impact kinda thing.

And that's up to the actor/singer's interpretation. You don't have to say it instead of sing it, especially on a guide CD where people are most likely using it to compete or just perform.
