does it feel like it's the first time you've heared it? Does that make sense? :ha: When I listen to Wicked I'll pick up something or a note that I have never heared in a song or scene and It will bring back memories of when I first got involved with Wicked.

Not just hearing it. Every time I see it, it feels like the first time. Seeing that beautiful curtain glowing green, and the anticipation of the first notes of the score always get me excited. I have noticed new things each of the five times I have seen it, and am sure to find new things the next five.

I agree.. There is something about hearing the opening chord progression live that always gets me super excited. The last time I saw it I was seeing Sho and Megan, so I was already an emotional wreck :-P I cried so much during that show, it was unbelievable. But I also listen for new harmonies and such, and the more I see it, the more I watch what is going on around the principles. I love it!

It always seems new when I see it. Also it always seems like its a show just for me. Like I think becuase I know so much about it I feel like they are performing just for me. I can't explain that but it kinda feels like the Elphaba or Glinda are just performing for me.

Seeing Dee and Brad's first made me feel like I was seeing the show for the first time.
and then....
When I just saw it back in New York it felt like the first time I had seen it. Probably because I had my first Elphaba/Glinda and all the differences they have there.

Building on that...
I love to see different actors playing the principal roles to see how they interpret the part! It's also great to see different combinations of actors and see how they work together.

Well, I've only seen it once! But everytime I hear those first chords I stop what I'm doing and collapse to the floor! yeah, my brain shuts down!

Yeah. That what I love about Wicked. The cast changes but the show still stays so fresh. I love seeing the new people in the role of Elphaba and Glinda. It's fun.

With the cast staying fresh, they need to bring some new actors and actresses in

I've seen the show 3 times, and even my 2nd and 3rd times seeing it my heart still started pounding as the overture began. It's just the incredible feeling of knowing I'm about to see a performance of Wicked that makes me so excited.

I couldn't of said it better. I'm seeing the show for my 4th time next Saturday and I'm excited but I know once I'm there I'll spazz like a wild dog.

I've actually only seen it live once. And even though I knew every line before hand and everything like that by the end of the performance I couldn't stand anyway lol. I don't think I've been that excited for anything before.

Hearing it, no. Just because I've listened to it so many times.
Because of the really different experiences I've had each time I've seen it, it doesn't feel like the first time but it just makes me really happy. Like the first time I saw it I was extremely excited because I've wanted to see it for so long. The 2nd time, I was like spazzing from going backstage, and the 3rd time I was really happy because I was with a ton of WoO people.
