After a brief hiatus, this hilarious show finds a new home at Off-Broadway's 47th Street Theatre. Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit is Gerard Alessandrini's latest edition of his scathingly hilarious, deliriously funny love letter to the theater that's been a New York institution for twenty years. Why see just one show when you can laugh at them all? Forbidden Broadway slings arrows at Avenue Q, The Producers, Wicked, Mamma Mia! and Aida in addition to old favorites like The Lion King, Cabaret and Chicago to name just a few. The show also skewers such celebrities as Ethel Merman, Liza Minnelli, Sarah Brightman and several more surprise favorites.
Sounds interesting.

ha- i love Wicker. Its so funny.
I think the girl who plays Idina/Elphaba has a really good voice, and the girl who plays Kristin/Glinda is really annoying- lol.
The other songs are also really good- Rant! and Seasons of Hype!
good stuff

I love Forbidden Broadway SVU!
If you look at people's bio, at least 50% of the cast has been involved with Law and Order.....

I saw it!! I saw it!! I saw it w/ the origional woman who does the Kristin impression!! I was in FL at the time. She was so funny! She can really hit some high notes. The woman who played Elphaba was totally a belter! WOW! All in all, they made fun of Avenue Q, Annie, Lion King, Hairspray, Hugh Jackman, Oklahoma, Light in the Piazza, Doubt and all the other hot shows on B'way. IT WAS COOL!!

OMG! I got the cast recording when I went to Dress Circle yesterday (along with my Defy Gravity t-shirt, wicked keyring and mug!). I've been listening to it, it's amazing. I think my mum and sister thought I was crazy though. My puter is in the front room and they were watching tv and i was listening through headphones and every 10 seconds I kept bursting out laughing! The Wickeder track is brilliant. My fav lines being:
"You’re loosing your equilibrium that green paint seeped in your cerebrum"
"I think I'll try defying Chenoweth"
"And hanging from the rafts, I'll dangle like a blimp"
