Delandis McClam is the Emerald City Ribbon Twirler in the Chicago Company.

Not only is he amazing on stage, but he's really nice at the stage door, too.

Because Delandis is so amazing, I decided he needed his own thread in the Fanification section.

OMG YES VICKY!!!! I LOVE DELANDIS!!!

He was such a sweetheart at the SD. We talked to him for a few minutes at the SD when I was there. At the show we had seen, the vine/rope thing that Fiyero swings in on got stuck on one of the lights, so Delandis went and unhooked it. So we thanking him for saving the show when we talked to him. :ha:

I like how for his autograph, he only puts a D. =]

I've talked to him a few times; I even got a hug from him once!

The last time, Delandis was trying to sneak back into the theatre by using the big door that leads to the wings of the stage.

I still saw him and screamed, "HI DELANDIS!"

I think he's scared of me.

But when I've talked to him, he seemed to be amazed that people wanted to talk to him, and get pictures.

I saw him come out last time I was there, but he was having a conversation with whoever he came out with, so I didn't want to stop him. But I love watching the ribbon twirling!

Yeah, he seemed a little surprised when I asked him if he could sign my playbill and stuff. I didn't get a picture with him though :-(

Maybe he'll still be there when I finally get back to Chicago.
Or maybe he could migrate over on tour with the rest of the Chciago cast for when they come to Cleveland next year...

Holly, call me greedy, but I don't want Delandis or the rest of the Chicago cast to transfer to tour! I love them too much!

(But I guess we could switch for the Cleveland stop. :ha: )

This is my guess, but...

I did some trusty Google research, and found out that his last name is McClam.

With a last name like that, and a cool first name like Delandis, I'd find that "Delandis" is much more... actor-y?

When I was stage dooring one time I just missed him walking out of the stage door becuase I was talking, and I really wanted his signature (just because how many people ask te ensemble members to sign their playbills) and since it was a matinee I was hoping to catch him on his way back in if I saw him. When he came back I was going to ask him to sign my playbill but his hands were full so I didn't want to bother him so I just said "HI" and he was like "Hi!". But I will get his signature sometime because he is like my favorite ensemble member because his name is the coolest.

I lottoed Satuday. It was the lightest Saturday lotto like, ever, since it was the day before the Super Bowl. That didn't help me much, because I STILL LOST. Oh well.

We don't even get any official Wicked pics aside from the group ensemble pics. I would love to see in a nice Shiz uniform or even a "One Short Day" costume... ribbons! :ha:

I've looked for other pictures of Delandis, but the only thing I've found was his headshot.

Nooo! Not Joan Marcus. Not offense to Ms. Marcus. I don't know her and she may be a great person, but I personally am not a very big fan of her photography. If there were to be any official production pics of Delandis, I'd hint to Tristram Kenton. :eyebrows:

I love Delandis! Hes so nice. I was talking to him and Rondi at the stage door because they were the first to come out. And they were talking about how excited they were that they were in the new program. It was funny!

I love the new playbill. The photopages are so much better. Delandis' pic doesn't seem to have that "page just creased" look anymore.

I ment like the BIG program that they sell. The old one just had the OBC, but the new one has tour and chicago, and they were pretty happy. Because I saw the show right after they had just gotton the new programs.
