i love mary poppins ( the musical ), i have only seen the london production with the amazing LMC and she was amazing both times, the sets the songs everything is really good!!

I really hope Kristy Cates plays Mary sometime in her life. She would be fantastic! oh, and I never saw it in March we saw Wicked, Lion King, and Mamma Mia instead.

Mary Poppins looks really good. I have the CR, but I don't think that I will be seeing it when I go to NY in July. I am seeing PQ and maybe another show. I would love to see Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, or Wicked. So we will have to see.

I have seen MP three times in london with each Mary and Laura stands out for me she is amazing , might be the fact i worked with her on whistle down the wind but you know everyones a little bit biased! The show is great love they didnt copy the film directly :mrgreen:

I've just recently fallen in love with this musical. The music is so good and Ashley Brown is simply amazing. I really want to see this, but I doubt I will. Ahh, it's just so great!

I saw it in March, and I LOVED Gavin Lee!

I made my entire family watch the Mary Poppins song medley thing during the Tonys, and I seriously almost cried because he didn't tap-dance on the ceiling..
I was very sad.

I know! I really wanted to see it! He did amazing, anyway. As did Ashley.

Id really like Anneleise van der Pol but i want her to get out of Disney shows.
But Gavin is real hard. He and Gavin Creel are the only two people who have performed that role!

I got my picture with Gavin Creel and Scarlett when i saw it - i thought they were both incredible - and as great as the whole thing was - my favourite scene has to be either the rooftop "step in time" or brimstone and treacle - the effects are incredible..

mary poppins was AMAZING. i saw it late december (i was there for new years!) and it totally rocked. it was soooo sweet and warm....i loved it. my mom even cried!! its sooo special.

i saw this show last december and it was amazing! some of the best special effects i have ever seen from mary poppins flying and gravin turned upside down...

Marry Poppins was awsome. at first i thought there was gunna be a buch of lil kids but there wasnt and who cared anyhow right??!! it had awsome sets and ashley brown was amazing. it really was a fun show

Do you guys know if Gavin Creel is still doing ot London? I heard that he was suppose to leave on November 4th, but I also heard that since the show is closing in January he will finish the production. Did he leave or is he finishing the show?

He's still in the show. He is waiting it out until January. I got very confused too! But no, we saw him on Sat so I'm assuming he's staying til closing

Well I got my refund on Mermaid for Wed. night, but I got Mary Poppin seats in the balcony for 40 bucks on ticketspecialists.com. I'm kind of excited to finally see this show because i've wanted to, but never had the time!

According to the New York Times, all of the Broadway principals have signed on for another year.

why is it that it was decided to not make a Broadway CR for this show?

^ Because there's a London CR.

There are, however, 8 CR quality tracks of the Broadway cast.

From what I understand, they didn't make one because they have three kids playing the roles of Jane and Michael, and they didn't want to choose between them.

But yet they can choose for 8 complete tracks for a sampler.

I'm not a fan of disney plays, and i dont plan on seeing this one any time soon..(dont hate..lol) but it looks cute!

btw: on a casting note, id so cast Brynn O'Malley as Mary Poppins...

(someone on here..rob...he mentioned rumors about brynn going into that role...or..no..not rumors, thoughts..and other ppl on BWW were for it..lol. but from what i no, shes not coming into a new show anyitme soon...)
