Yes, and it was the worst I had seen. They were the least liked of any cast (I really didn't like Steph, Kendra, Derrick, Carole, and whoever the wizard was, I don't remember) They are good, had I not seen others, but seeing others lowered their likability to zero, compared to others.

Don't get me wrong, she is better than I could ever be, but all the other Elphaba's are better.

I suppose I can see where you're coming from, even if I don't agree. When I don't like someone or something it can be very hard to change my mind, and if I go into a situation with the idea that I'm going to be disappointed, I will be disappointed. That's why it's very important for me to maintain an open mind, otherwise I'd judge things harshly, which I HATE to do.

I admit I had to keep an open mind when I went to see the OTC in Houston. In the weeks prior I'd watched the trailer over and over, kind of put off by Steph's voice at first because it's so different from Idina's. I mean, I'd been listening to Idina for three years and anyone else is just "OMG not Idina." I never really thought Steph had a bad voice, it was just... OMG... not Idina's... but as I watched the trailer more I started to like her voice a little more, and by the time the 28th of October rolled around I was excited to see her live. Then I got to Houston, SAW Steph and HEARD her live and she was absolutely amazing, and instead of liking her voice a little I liked it a WHOLE FREAKIN' LOT.

But if I hadn't maintained an open mind I probably would have walked away thinking what you did, and then my life would be Steph-less and I'd be a... uh... not very happy person.

i think they should have re-done the trailer because her voice isn't like that. it's much better. i was kind of worried about seeing her because it sounded different than any other elphaba. but when i saw her live from that last note in TWAI i was amazing. then after the show i was kicking myself for EVER thinking she wasn't amazing. yeah...she's amazing. i'm almost starting to like her more than idina. but i can't because i love idina. *runs away confusified*

I think her voice is much better than it sounds on the trailer too...she's amazing. More love for Steph!!! :elphie:
