Hmm... but the audio book also says "Fee-yar (as in yard) -O? LOL... I always said "FAAABAAaALAAA" And never liked it much? I like Fab-uh-luh, actually.

I say mine as "Fab-a-la", and Thropp as "Th-ropp" (as in "drop"). Oh, and I'm getting the audiobook for Wicked soon, so I'll try to get some sentences for the pronuncitations of Fabala and others, like, Elphie, Fae, Fiyero, Ama Clutch, Milla, Boq,G(a)linda, Avaric, Crope, Tibbet, Frexspar, and others, if need be.

Fabala 's you!

:typing:

Thanks everyone! I was always pronouncing it wrong.

Well I always thought Elphaba was pronounced like

Elphaaaaa-ba.....

I pronounced it that way in my head throughout the book so got a bit confused when I first saw the play. *rolleyes*

i always pronounced it like it was spelled. oh and when people are typing it as fab-uh-luh are they pronouncing the "fab" like its pronounced in fabulous. thats not how i say it anyway, but i was just wondering.

i was not one who posted, but i don't say the "fab" like in "fabulous". i pronounce it "fah-buh-luh", as in the musical pitch (fa, a long long way to run). sorry, that was a dumb comparison. hopefully that helped you though. =]

I'm having a bit troulbe with pronouncing the Grimmerie can someone tell me hwo to pronounce it
?
eponine101
I've always said Grimmerie as "Grim-mer-rie" even though I think thats wrong.

I'd say Fabala is like Elphaba, but without the "El". wink.gif

Grimmerie: grim-er-ee

I just had this convo with a friend yesterday! Her dad thought it was "grim-er-ie' but she was saying "No, I don't think so..."
Elphie Fabala Fae
Grimmerie-grim(grim reaper,haha)-mer(like mermaid)-ie(e)..
Fabala-Fab(fabulous)-a(uh)-la(luh)
That's my way of typing it.It's not the easiest
