Oh I know! I knew that would be an extremely hard song to sing for them. Megan always sounds like she's crying but Shoshana rarely does. But man. Everytime I see it I cry! What a sweet moment.

I always can't help but think that since they're professionals, they should be able to complete the show without crying and all the jokes. However it does make it special and entertaining.

oh well they are real people and they feel the emotions- they worked with eachother everyday for a year - 8 times a week and of course they will feel sad- it makes for a better show if you ask me

I prefer the last shows, cast changes and muck up matinees. When you're a theatre enthusiast (like me) and you see shows a lot of times, it's good to see something different. Whether it's the cast members losing it on a last show, new cast on their first nights or something funny and peculiar during a muck-up matinee. It just makes things more interesting and memorable.

I have to agree with what cinderella said - I love seeing stuff like that. I love being able to recognize little mistakes here and there, or the actors true emotions coming out. It makes the show so much more real and it really has that much more impact on you as an audience member. I was fortunate to be at Shoshana's last show, and I sobbed like a baby - it was amazing. It was incredibly powerful and moving - and while "For Good" has always gotten to me before, I've never cried like that during that song. I get chills just thinking about it! And "Defying Gravity" was just breathtaking...I was crying but I was afraid to blink or even breathe all at the same time. It was so amazing.
Ok, I have to stop rambling or I'll be here all day!
