At someone's suggestion, I thought I'd start a thread for galindafication! The wonderful Ms. DeCicco shared the makeup tools used by Joe Delude to make her look fabulous every night!

I'm not sure if the same shades are used for the other Galinda's (because of different hair, eye and skin colours), but seeing as I have dark brown hair and hazel eyes, Christina's shades work pretty much perfectly for me!

Laura Mercier Foundation
MAC concealer (if needed)
MAC Eyeshadow: Vanilla, Sushi Flower, Corduroy and Cork
MAC Lipglass: Prrr (Act I), Pink Poodle (Act II)
MAC Glitter: Reflects Gold (in eye area - although the MAC rep I talked to said they don't recommend it for use around eyes...I'll use it anyway! It's a fine particle white glitter that actually shines gold)

Not all Galindas wear falsh eyelashes - it depends on what the creative team decides. Those who do wear them use MAC #7 lashes.

Some Galindas wear lipstick underneath their Lipglass, but as Christina doesn't, she wasn't sure what colours were used. Prrr is very very pale - it barely showed up on my lips. Pink Poodle was shockingly pink (fuschia), but I didn't actually try it on, so I think I'm gonna scoot back and try it - I might actually like it!

They also use a different type of MAC Glitter for their shoulder/chest area - she couldn't remember what it was called, just that it was multicoloured. It could be the 3D Glitters, as they shine various colours once applied.

I picked up Sushi Flower (reddish pink) and Corduroy (dark reddish brown), which look absolutely gorgeous on. And they last all day for me, so they're worth the $16.50 per shade.

Just a quick note too: All items except the Glitters are available at regular MAC stores. The Glitters are only sold through MAC Pro.

Just went back to MAC today and tried on Pink Poodle for the heck of it. Sweet Oz...the brightest pink you can imagine! And it looked wretched on me. It doesn't look at all like the colour Christina wears in her promo photos... It looks more like Megan's Popular lipstick (only Meg's has been toned down as well). So I went with LustreGlass in Palatial instead:

Received my Reflects Gold in the mail yesterday - it's sooo pretty! Very fine particles that do as they're named. And I'm wearing it on my eyes today - no problems yet!

I think I might try the #7 lashes too, once I get better at putting the other falsh lashes on!

just found out i might be going to the mall next week! i'm gonna have to stop by the mac counter!

yay I am glad that this became a thread because I have spent the LONGEST time wondering what make up they use on glinda. One of these days I wanna go to my local MAC store and buy some of this make up cause I absolutely LOVE the Glinda make up.
P.S. Thanks for the lip gloss tip. I am really picky about my lip gloss color and stuff ( that's just a little weird random fact about me :ha: )

there were quite a few different foundations and concealers, so i just picked one of each, so your total may vary.

^ $18.50+tax Cdn for the Glitter. It's absolutely gorgeous on!

The Vanilla and Cork eyeshadows, although pretty shades, aren't absolutely necessary if you want to achieve the same look. I think they're mainly used as base/highlighters. I bought a similar cream coloured shade to replace Vanilla, and only spent about $4 on it. Corduroy is a deeper brown than Cork, and seems to match nicer w/ Sushi Flower.

Will probably go back to MAC on Friday to look at the #7 lashes! I'll post photos if I get them!

Anyone want to post pictures of them wearing the makeup? Not to be totally creepy by asking that...I'm just wondering what the makeup looks like when it's not really professionally done like in the show, but on a normal person, like you and me. Nobody has to, I just thought that after seeing some attempts at the Elphie look, it'd be fun to see people who purchased all of the makeup trying to achieve the Glinda look!
