I just thought of something...

I was listening to Dancing Through Life in my car and it hit..

MAYBE... Galinda was thinking about Fiyero's care free life so much and she wanted to impress him or something. i mean of course they liked each other but she wanted to do things like him and such.

So perhaps she took his advice. And dancing.. errr sleeping through life or class lol
elven_ringbearer
What class? Do you mean the one right before INTG? If so, they had to do that because of costume changes.
Yeroismyhero
Well besides costume changes... we're trying to decide on a reason.

The last thread was locked so...
elven_ringbearer
I just think you weren't supposed to really notice. She would have gotten the spell done to her anywho.
Yeroismyhero
Well I doubt the spell would have been cast on her. Because... she and Elphaba were friends by this point.

And then she would have been tagging along when they released the lion cub and then the Fiybala wouldn't have happened lol
WICKEDlover159
Fiybala??

what exactly does that mean, lol
Yeroismyhero
I tried putting Fiyero and Elphaba together and it didn't really work lol
bobert5353
LOL!
Swankified
Wait. What spell?
WICKEDlover159
During the class when they bring in the lion cub, she freaks out when they start to "expiriment" on it and makes everyone spaz except Fiyero and they steal the cage and run away
Rainbowgirl
I just thought that maybe Glinda was getting private socery tutoring from Madame Morrible and no longer attended Dr. Dillamond's class.
Yeroismyhero
But that would mean Elphaba shouldn't be there either
greenified32
Probably because Elphaba has been taking longer and Glinda is just on her first lesson....they wouldn't be together- it would be holding Elphaba back.
Yeroismyhero
Maybe... I guess we may never know for sure lmao
Defy Gravity
guess not...
Yeroismyhero
Is that Peter from Narnia in ur sig ????!!!
chaser500
I've noticed that...I wonder how that scene would change if she was there. Hmmm
MEEEEE
Uh, yeah...How come my last thread about this got locked?

And all your guys' theories sound like they could work. But I think we shouldn't have to assume, there should be a line or something. I'm sure you all are well versed in Wicked, but is there a line we're missing here?
greenified32
I think it's best left like it is....I mean I think it'd be corny if she said "I'm off to Morrible's class..."

But it would be funny when Dillamond walked in, if she said ,"Dr. Dillamond, Dr. Dillamond! I have to pee!"
Galinda
Now that's interesting .. something I never thought of.
BelleOfTheBand
Thats actually really cool! The entire plot would have been quite shifted. Also the fact that Nessa isn't in the class that day either would change it to. Because, Elphie wouldn't have made Glinda and Nessa spaz because Glinda had just become her friend, and Nessa was, well, her sister. And I don't think Glinda would have been too keen to let Elphie run off with Fiyero. *Scary thought* That would possibly mean 'As Long As Your Mine' would have never happened! :-(

Anyways, before I scare myself, the reason would prolly be because of the whole 'impossible costume change' thing on Glinda's part and just to be convenient for the plot

MEEEEE
I really don't think the costume change is the reason. Have you seen how fast Glinda changes from NWMTW to DOS? Now that is fast!

That I've got to pee thing is hilarious! They should have used that!
BelleOfTheBand
True, but isn't her 'Popular' bed rolling out of the stage while Dr. D's class is coming on the stage? I guess she could just come in late and have 'slept in'. But again, plot lol
MEEEEE
I think I may kind of understand the reason why Glinda wasn't in class. I think the "look it's tomorrow" line may probably means that the sun is coming up. Then when Elphaba says "I have to go" she is remembering that she has class soon and needs to get ready or somethimg. Basically I think that there's more to the tomorrow line than we may think....

But that still doesn't explain where Nessa and Boq are. And Fiyero, who is quite the party boy, shows up so I don't think we can say that some people who partied hard slept in. But perhaps he came to class while the others slept in just becuase he was starting to like Elphaba?

But still they should have added a little line in there somewhere! huh.gif :whoa:
BelleOfTheBand
Hmmm... this is going to annoy me forever haha. The whole Fiyero, Mr. anti-learning being there and Boq and Nessa not. Why would they leave a plot hole in without a line in there for a cover-up. Perhaps we are over analyzing? haha
elven_ringbearer
I never noticed Boq and Nessa not being there. One of the many times I saw it I noticed Glinda was gone, but the rest of the times, I didn't.
Yeroismyhero
Well there are many reasons

Unless someone calls up Winnie and asks her I guess we just can assume things

But yes, did you see when Fiyero and Elphaba were getting close the whole "I think about that day alot" "Me too"

And Galinda is getting jealous and buts in " Me too!"

She can see Fiyero liking Elphaba and she wants Fiyero for herself and she is getting very jealous.

True, very true. But I don't think she knows about the lion cub incident, just about Doctor D's firing. She just wants to be involved in the conversation.
Yeroismyhero
Yeah... Galinda.. center of attention .. ALWAYS
MEEEEE
:agree: lol I've been wanting to use that icon
Yeroismyhero
heheh yeah
Juggle~Wiggle
Boq is in that scene but Nessa isn't why she's not there I don't know...but yea Boq is there.
