Forgive me if this has been posted, but I searched and couldn't find a thing.

So I'm sure this is the question on everyone's mind; How long will SJB do her Broadway stint?

I'm sure you all think "oh 3 months, shes done January 6th" but in an interview on Broadway.com, when asked if she would play the role again on Broadway, she answered "Well not for a year, but a good 6 months" which leads me to believe she could end on or around the date she left the tour (March something).

So what are everyones thoughts/opinions?? Thanks, T.

I know there's a rumour about Lea going to Wicked in January (I won't comment on my opinions on said rumour), but I don't think it'll be January. I think, especially given Stephanie's comment, as mentioned, and given the fact that Kendra has apparently said on multiple occasions that she's only taking a leave of absence (she'll be back, then, in 3 months, following The Receptionist), Stephanie will stay at least 6 months. The only thing holding me back from this is the fact that Stephanie also mentioned (though I can't remember where) that it would be nice to work with Sebastian a little while, but she'd need a break after that. Living AND working with someone would be super hard. In any case, I really hope we get a tour reunion, even if it is just for a little while.

I don't want Lea following SJB....I want her to wait a while before going to Wicked...


But yeah, this whole thing makes sense completely. Kendra and SJB reuniting woudl be amazing...

Annaleigh is staying until April right? So even if SJB does 6 months, I don't think she'll be with Kendra.

That's assuming Kendra comes back.

I don't think Steph ever said (even in that interview) that she would do WICKED for six months. I thought she said something about how a year would be too long, but six months would be good, or something like that.

I'm sure we'll find out soon enough, though!

If it was going to be a limited engagement, wouldn't that have been said in the announcement like with Ana Gastyer? There was no mention of that in any of the articles i've read.

You have a good point. The articles that said that Idina and Ana were both going to play Elphaba again (Idina in the West End and Ana on Broadway) both said that it would be for three months. The announcement of Stephanie joining the cast didn't say she signed for three months. Maybe she realized that since she was taking three weeks off, she wouldn't have that many shows during a three month run. She might continue her run after Sebastian leves.

How do we know Kendra's coming back?

I feel like I must have missed a lot somewhere....

I believe Kendra took a break to do the show "The Receptionist", but I don't think any article said she was leaving for good, I'm not really sure - sorry about that! I think Jayne has left permanently, as there are rumors about Miriam from London coming in, which she confirmed at the Apollo Victoria stage door. (Excited because I can ask Miriam to sign my HP DVD!)

Every time I read an article about her new play it often refers to her last days in October being the "final" days. The type of language used implies she's not coming back. Plus she's been in her "Wicked" role for a while now. Of course, that doesn't prove anything, but that is why I assumed she was hanging up her pink dress for good (no pun intended).

Where does it give her return date? Or are there articles that use the word "temporary" or any synonyms to imply she's definitely coming back?

Not trying grill you. Just want to know where these 'facts' are coming from. I get very "iffy" when someone states things as though they were fact when they haven't presented solid proof. It gets people's hopes up (or upsets them for no reason, depending one what's being said).

Okay, thanks! I'm open to her either staying or leaving, (because I really want more new faces, or at least understudies who haven't been full-time, much like Annaleigh) but really, Kendra must be tired of the role by now. I might be wrong so maybe I shouldn't be assuming this. I hope Kendra's successful either way... so, yeah, I'm done, haha.

In July I flew from london to new York and miriam was in the same plane.... so I guess she's really coming to broadway

Thanks for posting that! That is so exciting!! Good for Steph!! I can not wait to see her return to Wicked, and this way I may be able to see her twice now!! Once in december and then again in march!! I have a lot of persuading to do over the next few months!! But it will happen!!

About Steph staying until at least March.... this is so exciting! I really hope she is still there around March 18th - what a great b'day present that would be for me, haha!

My spring break is March 10-14. It's a possibilty that her last show could be on March 9th. My parents said if my brothers have the same spring break as I do, then we might all go to New York. Maybe, I could see Stephanie the night before her last or the matinee or evening performnace on the day of her last. Seeing her again would be amazing.

I'm so happy Steph is contracted through March!! Yay! Now I can see her at least 2 times!Hahaha, I'm in school now, so I can't really say much because we're leaving soon... ( :

Does anyone know when Sebastian's contract is up? January? Wonder if he will leave in Jan. if Stephanie is contracted until March.

You could get to see them anywhere from October 9th,I think, til sometime in March when Steph's contract is up. I don't know if Seb is going to be there until March, but I think he would be. But they are both taking three weeks off for their wedding.. Two at the end of October, and the first week in November. Steph did say to stay away from those dates because she wouldn't be there. I don't really think anything about Seb's contract has been mentioned.. But I'm guessing he is going to stay with Steph.Hopefully that helped ( :

Oh my. My first witches performing again. The only other thing that could make me happier is Wicked: The Movie starring Eden Espinosa and Megan Hilty
But even that isn't as good as those two reuniting.
