Okay how is Carol?
greenified32
Okay....sometimes....not as good as Carole, and not as bad as Rue.
WICKEDlover159
I thought she was pretty good...the whole crowd cheered when she came on stage, lol...she was ok...can't really sing though
HorribleMorrible
Was Rue REALLY bad?? What was wrong w/ Rue? I never saw her, it was Adina Alexander when I saw it in NYC. I thought that Adina was a really good Morrible. She should be the next one.
Nessarose
:agree: i saw Adinah as Morrible too, she was good is probably the best singer out of all the Morribles
chaser500
I thought Carole Shelley sang well....I heard Rue just kind of spoke it....but I like Adinah Alexander I thought she was surprisingly good
wickedfreak17
carol is my 2nd favorite behind carole shelly.
greenified32
I though she was going to hack up a hairball there one time....

I hated Carol Kane... i went backstage after the show and she was very divaish. as many of you know, she doesnt come out after the show. So I was extremely excited when i saw her. But then when I asked her to sign my stuff she rudely said yes. She was also wearing the typical diva outfit. Blue bath robe, sunglasses (inside), and hooker heels. It was hilarious.
greenified32
Everyone I have talked to have said she is wearing the same thing....does she ever change?
ForGood
I did not like her at all. I think she's improved since I saw her though.
Candleshoe07
I actually liked Carol in the role. I think she really made the part her own and I love her "Wicked Witch"! :lol1:
WickedWarlockoftheSouth
i rly like rue.....y does everyone hate her????? so what she cant sing....shes a rly good actress!!!
HorribleMorrible
I don't hate Rue! I've "heard her" as Morrible. She does sound very Morrible-ish. I felt bad when I saw that she wasn't play the night I went to go see it in October, because that was the only time I would have been ale to see her.
broadwaybabe87
I saw Carol in Toronto and liked her very much! She doesn't really sing, more talking, but she is good!
Yeroismyhero
I like Rue from Golden Girls but I heard she didn't do a very good job..

Anyone know?
FunkyChicken
I saw Carole Shelley on BW and LOVED her, and when I saw it in St. Louis (Carol Cane) she was different, but not bad. I mean, she was totally different from CS. She did say-sing most of her lines, but it was totally believable. I don't know if I was just star-struck and it clouded my judgement, but I didn't see anything inherently wrong with her performance as MM. Now, I'd have loved to see Rue (being a closet Golden Girls fan) and am disappointed in the negative reviews she's getting. Surely if the producers/director didn't feel she was a fit they wouldn't have asked her to join the cast. But I don't know. Like I said, I've never seen Rue. But to recap, for Carol.
Yeroismyhero
I don't know Carol.

You're joking right? Okay, she was amazing in GG, but she sucks in Wicked....

I was listening to the Saycon Soundboard....and I was standing up for Rue, telling everyone that she must have had an off night the night they saw it. But when I listened to the Soundboard....I tried my hardest to like her, but I just couldn't- she's dreadful....it is....to have a house fall on you (crap, reciting Wicked again.)

Haha! Carol Cane....a diva. I could so see that? BTW, is that a wig she's wearing in her headshot on the website? Its looks unreasonably huge.
logan_of_oz
lol. I'm not sure if it's a wig, but the other day I refered to it. I wne to the wockshop for 110 in the Shade in Houston (an amazing experience!!) and there was this chick sitting rite in front of e with HUGE hair. I meant to just lean over and whisper to my friends, but i ended up yelling, "OMG!! I'M SITTING RIGHT BEHIND CAROLE KANE!!" It was so funny. the girl didnt know wut i was talking about though, if she even heard me, cuz she didnt turn around. Just a funny story I thought I shouls tell.
bobert5353
Carole is better than Rue, but not as good as Shelly!!!
LemonsMelonsPears
Carole Shelley cannot be beat, so dont try to go there guys!
GEoff
How many people actually saw rue? Not too many that i know, its kinda sad actually. I think they wanted a famous older actress like they do for the wizard and her name was the draw but then they found it really wasn't good. No one will beat Shelley!

Rue was out of the show more than she was in..
Chenzel
Carole is the best morrible ever. Rue, she's ok. I can't wait to see Carol Kane! I love her morrible. It's so funny. :ha:
LemonsMelonsPears
i should hurt u... :slap:
Green.bubbles
I thought Carol Kane was okay.... I saw her between watching Carole Shelley and Rue.... Her voice is very high and a little perky in my opinion (Carol Kane's)... Rue's voice just sounds old and although I enjoy her performances on THE GOLDEN GIRLS, something about her performance didn't FIT...
BelleOfTheBand
I personally can't stand how high pitched her voice is when she talks.. I guess I've just listened to the OBC to much...
shobeanrocks
i didn't like rue. she would was not very good. i can't wait to see carole shelly! i heard she is amazing and is so great in the clips i have seen of her.
AdmiralShark
While I would have been interested in seeing Carol play Morrible, I do consider myself fortunate to have seen Carole playing her.

Carole has Morrible so long it just seems like it comes naturally.

i saw Carol and she was scarily funny. or is it funnily scary. lol i make up my own words. but anyways, i dont know she was so perky at times but in a frightning sort of way (very unglinda-like) which was really cool to watch. so yay for carol!

Yeah funnily scary is what I was thinking LOL
She makes you shrink into your seat a bit in the Defying Gravity scene (where she's calling Elphaba a Wicked Witch). And she is kinda shrill in a Galinda-to-the-max sort of way. I've never seen any other Madame Morrible so it's hard to compare, but I thought she was good in the role.
biglittlekid
lol yea when she screamed 'wicked witch' she was scarier than margaret hamilton (sp?) as the wizard of oz wicked witch of the west. ...which is pretty darn scary

I saw her come out the stage door, but she was in normal clothes and she was with a friend, and she said "Oh my God, look how many people are here, let's make a run for it!" :ha:

She uses the typical carol kane squeeky voice when she's morrible. she isn't as funny as the morrible I saw on tour (I forgot her name... the current morrible) but she was good.
HorribleMorrible
I loved Adina as Morrible!!! I have yet to see Carol Cane though.
Billy
this vid should answer questions abot ms.Kane's Morrible

god she's FANTASTIC

[No bootlegs, please! :mrt:]

Ugh. I really don't like Carol Kane. When I saw her, she had such a strong accent she decided to use for the role that I couldn't understand her one little bit. It really bothered me. I had to keep explainig to my mom what was going on cuz she had not seen the show before. Ugh.

so did her face :ha:
wicked_fan_07
I love Carol. She doesn't really sing but it's still good. I love how she plays kind of drunk during the ozdust scene. I don't think Carol acts like a diva. I just don't think she's likes being around a lot of peopl. Lots of people are like that. At the very beginning of the tour she came out with Steph and she was just standing back a little and I asked her for her autograph and pic and she was very nice.
MusicPos
I saw her on Broadway, and she was pretty good. She didn't sing as much as Carole Shelley did, but she did sing, and her voice was fine for the part. She was a lighter less likeable Morrible than Carole S. Carole S. tried to make Morrible more deceptable, you didn't see her as evil as much from the beginning as you do with Carol Kane. Rue didn't really bring anything to the role. She definitely understood the character, and the way she emphasized her vowels made her seem very odd (as she should be). She didn't detract from the show, but she also didn't add to it like Carole Shelley really did or like Carol Kane somewhat did. Rondi Reed was slightly better than Rue, but she was a bit weird, too, again didn't add anything.
