Stage Entertainment (Producer of Wicked/Germany) has announced:
After numerous prominents have visited the magical Land of Oz during the opening night of Wicked (Germany) last thursday, the musical "Wicked – Die Hexen von Oz" in Palladium Theatre Stuttgart "greenifys" the German musical visitors more and more. Already this week advance sale "has broken the sound barrier" of 120.000 Tickets.
At the moment the preparations for a further highlight are in full swing. On December 8th 2007 "Wicked - Die Hexen von Oz" will enchant an audience of millions (from Germany, Austria and Switzerland) during the Saturday night show "Wetten dass...?" live from Graz (Austria) (German version of: Wanna bet?/You bet!) with Thomas Gottschalk (8:15 p.m./ZDF [German telestation]). Specially for this spectacular TV performance set designers are recreating currently components of the original stage set.

Yay this is good news about the ticket sales.
And it sounds to me like it'll only be a song or two.

I think that was uncalled for, seeing as you did use the wrong word.

Yes you're right. Usually musical productions perform 2 or 3 songs during this TV show, but usually musical performances in this TV show are very lavish. So I hope we may see Willemijn fly. ;-)
Also Kylie Minogue, Mika, Til Schweiger, Nicolas Cage, Jerry Seinfeld, Renée Zellweger, Amy Winehouse and some German prominents will be guests there.

I really hope they do perform DG or "free and weightless" I should say. It airs the day after the GCR comes out, correct?

@Vande: You should rather say "Frei und schwerelos"

.
And yes, that's correct!
