So I posted this on UL and everyone really liked it, so I'll try it out here too. This is an my own arrangement of Defying Gravity, played by me on my piano. I change voicings, rhthms and added stuff of my own while combining the melody. I condenced it to two verses and added a little ditty at the end. I hope you'll all like it

it's really good. this one time i wrote a medly of all the main songs in wicked. it was realyl good. the bad thing is that i never recorded or wrote it down and i can't really remember what i played. :cry:

ETA: I know there's an easy piano book and a piano/vocal book, but does anyone know anything about a piano solos book? Is there one or are there plans for one?

I don't know about a piano solos book... I know that right now they have an easy piano, piano/vocal selections which has the melody integrated in the right hand, and then there's just vocal selections which is more along the lines of what the orchestra score really sounds like.

I have the piano/vocal selections and I LOVE it! You could play most of the stuff in there as piano solos anyways.

Does anyone know the easy keys for any of the Wicked songs? I mean like CABDE? I'm not the best at piano but I just wanted to be able to play a little melody or something

I did a medley of all the intros to songs. It was sweet. haha

Haha. omg guys, wow, I didn't think it was that good. lol. I'm really excited you all like it so much. A lot of people have been requesting a transcription.. so I'll try and get on that. The month of February is really busy for me... but I'll try and find some time to write it up and post the pages.

I do have another arrangement.. but it's not a Wicked song... it's Music of the Night. I'll try and post that today.

So y'all who have it...you'd say the piano/vocal version is all right? My experience with some has been that they sound nice and full, but the melody is nowhere to be found, so I end up writing it in.

On the other hand, sometimes the piano solos versions are just kind of...blaaaah and boring and thin.

I want something that sounds like this arrangement! Haha.
