Roberta as Elphaba:
Wow, this girl is amazing! Her interpretation of Elphaba is different to Willemijn's, all in all it's more sympathetic and warm, especially in the beginning. But she's wicked in exactly the right scenes. And she also starts very powerful in "Der Zauberer und ich" (TWaI). The audience loved her "Blond!" (which in Stuttgart causes more laughter than in London). Beforehand she really takes a long pause, then watches the audience, and then comes her BLOND!. In "Was fühl ich in mir?" (Witf?) she copied Lucy's leg twitch, which looked kind of sick, but was way too funny. I loved the silent dance in "Tanz durch die Welt" (DTL). I definitely love this moment when Elphaba and Glinda dance. I have to mention Roberta's facial expressions here. "Heiß geliebt" (P): I can only repeat mentioning Roberta's genious facial expressions. When Glinda decides to make her her new project, Roberta looks like: "Pleeease, what does she want from me?" - nicely doubting. But more about "Heiß geliebt" later with Lucy. I loved the chemistry between Roberta and Mark during the lion cub, compared to Willemijn and Mark I even prefered Roberta-Mark. But okay, the last time I got to see Willemijn was in the dress rehearsal and I'm pretty sure they improved as well. Both were on time in "Nur ein Tag" (Osd). I think it's quite amusing to see both starting to unbutton their dresses while they are still on stage, running backstage. Again I loved Roberta's facial expressions in "Ein seelenvoller Mann" (Asm). At the beginning she has got something in her eyes which says: "Well, first of all let's see what the Wizard says". And "Frei und schwerelos" (DG) - wow! I mean really: W O W !!!. I was very, very, very positively surprised, flashed and didn't know what to say. This was really perfect, I adored it so much.
"Die böse Hexe des Ostens" (TWWotE) - I love the spells anyhow, but Roberta has such a warm voice, she sings the "Vivalohs, meno non cordo"-chant differently than the other Elphies, i.e. she holds the notes longer which I definitely loved a lot. In "Wundervoll" (W) again her facial expressions and her eyes which said: No, I'm angry with the Wizard and I don't want to get along with him anymore until he says she can also be wonderful. In "Solang ich dich hab" (Alaym) I again liked the chemistry between Roberta and Mark. Cornfield scene: LOL her laughter, simply genious! I can't say more. And then her "Gutes Tun" (Ngd)
In the first review in the German Wicked forum, someone said that sometimes Roberta talks too fast and that sometimes it's a bit difficult to understand what she says (at least for someone who doesn't know the show by heart xD) (you can see the Italian girl here
Lucy as Glinda:
Really! Lucy is one of my favourite Glindas, if not THE favourite Glinda! Her moves, her squees, all this stuff fits so perfectly to the interpretation of her Glinda. She's in parts very hysterical, but it's never over-acting, like "Ich heiße jetzt [scream]GLINDA[/scream] *cries hysterically* etc. But then again her soft and vulnerable side.. It's like you wanna go up on stage to comfort her. At the beginning everyone doubted about the fact if Lucy is good for Glinda at all. But yes, she's SO perfect, such a warm person as well. I adore her leg twitches when she says that she has already a private suite. Some little girl sat in the show with her grandma and the girl asked her granny wheter Glinda has got an illness
"Wie herrlich" (TG) - again I also love her facial expressions and the changes from the beloved and popular to the vulnerable Glinda, this is simply aaawww. Lucy's "I'm not that girl" was really love and soo sad, woah. The catfight was once again a highlight, Lucy yelling "Attackeee" or something like that
Wuuuh, I think that's enough for now, I'm going to translate the rest of the cast if you're interested at all. Lol.
