Light in the Piazza is one of my new favorite musicals, along with Sweeney Todd. It's absolutely gorgeous, and Katie is outstanding in it. And Aaron Lazar? Yesplease. I saw him in Les Miserables, and I just about died when I heard he was in LITP with Katie. They're so great together. Buttttt.... this is a Katie thread. So I'm going to shut up about Aaron and talk about how amazing Katie was in LITP and is in "Wicked".

Katie's just amazing. End of story. She used to go to my voice studio (in NYC), but she doesn't currently!

It hurts me to say this because I love Kristin with all my heart and soul, but I think Katie is a better Glinda acting-wise. I think she's THE best Glinda acting-wise and it would be pretty much impossible for anyone to ever beat her.

Wow, Jessica. That is surprising to hear from you, but that means Katie is pretty incredible if she beats out Kristin in your book. So would you say Katie or Kristin win overall?

Overall, it's still Kristin. She's the best vocally and the role came so naturally to her. It seemed effortless and she has flawless comic timing. However, Katie brings much more depth and dimension to Glinda than Kristin did.

^ WOW. I can't believe you think Katie's better than Kristin in the acting department! She's like... woah. Your favorite.

Though, I do agree. Katie's the best Glinda acting wise and her voice is an added bonus .

Megan Hilty who?

Wow. Well, if I thought of how Katie did in Light in the Piazza and put her in Wicked, I can definitly see her being phenomenal...and I really want to see her up at the tour! If that's the case with the acting-skills I'd love to put Katie and Caissie together onstage and see what kind of performance they'll bring!

I love Megan with all my heart, but I agree Katie's acting and voice is the most phenomenal. She's freaking amazing, and she's becoming one of my favorite Glinda's. Tied with Megan. And she was absolutely mind-blowing in LITP.

The Hilty will always be my idol, but that's not basing it on Wicked anymore. She's a good Glinda, but she's far better in Vanities and she really needs to move on. It'll be sad to see her leave, but I'm excited for 9 to 5.

And hopefully I can see Katie on the tour!

I am seriously considering getting on the train during Spring Break and going to see the touring cast JUST so I can see Katie! Well, not just so...but that's one of the big reasons!

I'd like to join! I saw Katie last Saturday, and am going again 2 more times. She's amazing!!!

I can't believe I'm saying this, cause I absolutely adore Megan, but Katie is amazing at acting for the part of Glinda. And her Popular is BRILLIANT!!! I just saw the show again tonight, and when Katie grabs Carmen and like whips her head around, it looks like Carmen's head is gonna fall off. And she did this thing that I didn't see the last time where she covers up Carmen's face after the whipping part. It was hilarious!!! I definitely love Katie to death now. =]
