They might have a couple of people in mind (and they might have already approached someone to gauge their interest) to make sure that they will be available when Eden leaves. Since table readings and the like happen so far out, they seem to need to get an interest gauge early so that they can get their commitment set.
But the official announcement probably won't be made till about 2 months before Eden leaves.

Well they are a business, the are most likely in the works thinking of replacements, im sure when the stars of the tour were cast they may have been promised broadway if they want when the conctract was up, the same may have happened for Jenna.. It is hard to believe she originally was asked to audition as glinda!

I think that would be cool, I REALLY want to see her as Elphie (jenna). WHo knows she might still be an understudy on broadway if saycon or brandi has to leave. But I Bet there'll bring in new Elphie blood when Eden leaves.

I think Jenna is capable of either role. Having seen her as Dorothy, I know she is capable of the good factor, and then having seen and heard her as Elphaba I think she is VERY capable there. Strangely enough, when Idina was leaving and everyone was wondering who would replace her, she and Linda Eder were my two choices. Linda would still be a good one, but I think she is still working on "Camille" OT...but any word on that show?
