I've heard so many rumors about the producers talking to her about it. Man, that would be SOO COOL!!! She'd freaking blow everyone's minds!!! I'd fly to the US just to see her.

And doesn't she have the most hypnotizing eyes??

TRULY?? If so...."YAY!!!" Still time to plan my dream trip seeing Wicked in USA, UK, Europe then back to Australia. But will do backwards cause wanna be in the USA end of Jan 2010 for an event. For some reason I thought her contract would be ending this year.
I adore the woman!! BRILLIANT ELPHABA!! To be honest, the first time I heard about Wicked opening in Germany was all like....Pfffftttt Close enough to UK, should be opening in Australia instead! Was 20% logical thinking and 80% irrational JEALOUSY! Plus I thought it was a little amusing cause the German language is quite a harsh one tonally (not wanting to offend anyone with that comment), could imagine songs like NOMTW sounding amazing but FG and ALAYM…not as. Then the announcement that Wicked was coming to Australia and was all EXCITED ..NO MORE irrational jealousy cause after seeing initial clips online of the German production with Willie felt 100% rational jealousy cause PHENOMANAL & MUST SEE in person!


Fantastic Idea!! Sign me up please! LOL LOVE the "VERKAIKIAN PRIDE!"..has that Nordish mythological sound about it…with a lil' touch of Sci-fi Klingon!

As selfish as I am I hope Willemijn will play Elphaba in Holland after Stuttgart (A)
But on Broadway, the whole world will know how amazing she is

And she mentioned a three-hour distance differential from Maarn to Stuttgart. Does that mean that she commutes to and from work every day? Or was that simply to illustrate how far she's come from her humble roots in the Netherlands to the big, bad stage of the Palladium Theater?

I think it is in Germany, since the three musicalstars are from German musicals (we have neither of those musicals in the Netherlands - what a shame!)

I don't think she goes back to Maarn every day. I believe she has a few days off every week and goes "home" then and lives the rest of the week in Stuttgart. But I could be wrong.

And I don't know why, but I always thought she was pretty tall

I think she stays in Stuttgart everyday, I don't know if she goes back to Maarn on her days off (according to her schedule, tuesday and wednesday), but she goes back every holiday

I feel your pain Siel. Our musical theater scene isn't exactly the finest either. Well ok, we've had local productions of classics like Hairspray and Rent and *gags* High School Musical (I hear Spring Awakening is due next year), but they're not exactly at par with Broadway.

Where is the Musical-Gala going to be shown? Is she going to sing songs from Wicked?

Musicalgala is going to be shown in Ludwigsburg and I don't know if she's going to sing songs from Wicked, maybe she will, because at last year's Musicalgala she sang Elisabeth's "Ich Gehör Nur Mir"

I read that in the Wicked Germany forum. Apparently Moq and Nessa and a few other alternates as well as some of the ensemble are leaving next month.

Again: what producer in his right mind would let go of a pairing like Scherkaik?? It's ludicrous in my book.

I don't think Wills will have to worry about being let go anytime soon. Dare I predict that she may even have to choose between being renewed for Stuttgart (assuming that the production doesn't close) or headlining (squeee!!!) the Amsterdam production. Maybe even an offer to *gasp!!* play Elphie on Broadway??

I wonder what she would do if she had to chose! Broadway is amazing and a HUGE opportunity, but she once said she would love to play the lead in the Dutch production! (if she will play Elphaba in Holland my bank account is going to hurt, lol)
