Please feel free to add on, but please clarify if it's a rumor or fact. I figured this would be easier to have one, single thread than traveling around to all the different forums!

Yea... that's why I put question marks, because they seem to be true but we don't have any official confirmation. Any links would be great! I'll change them to "Confirmed?" instead.

Well Megan confirmed #5, Caissie confirmed #6, and I believe Lisa confirmed #4.

I don't think there are any links to Broadway sites (if that's what you meant), but they've been discussed in the Los Angeles threads.

Maybe make the distinction confirmed by press or press release, and confirmed via staff members, and straight out rumor?

Lisa has been confirmed by her myspace (private not public though?) and through staff members at the oriental, but it hasn't been part of a press release like Analeigh was. Therefore I wouldn't consider it "officially confirmed" yet even if we know it is happening.

I'm not sure if Kristoffer Cusick coming to Chicago Jun 5 has been confirmed yet.

During Steph's speech for Annaleigh last night she said that Annaleigh will be closing out the Chicago production. And that Annaleigh is only gonna be there for 3 months. That really confusifies me?

Before a fight begins, Jessica was just explaining that even though Lea said she wants to play Elphaba, that's not what I think this thread is for. It's for the rumors that have been going around for a while now and have been confirmed or were left unconfirmed.

Derrick and Teal are confirmed by the official LA site, and by cast members. Marcie Dodd is the new Elphaba standby.

Maybe Steph just worded it strangely.
I would be interested in speculation about who is replacing Lisa though, if indeed Chicago is outlasting August, which we all (except SJB) seem to think.

Here's Steph's speech from yesterday:

I don't know about the dates because if they're selling tickets, its obviously not closing. I do hope, however, that Annaleigh ends up staying longer than 3 months (her Broadway run was extended a few times so hopefully the same will happen in Chicago)

Awwww that is so sweet! I love last show speeches lol. And I think there is a special connection made between the wicked leads because their friendship is the true heart of the show. It'd be hard to portray that 8x a week and not get attached!

All the buzz I've heard from cast, crew and employees of the show has been that Chicago will close in early '09, maybe January or March. And yeah, since they're selling tickets through November right now, it won't be closing in three months.

yup...rumors I have heard say they're going to move it somewhere (?). Maybe Canada? I have no idea if that's true (the moving the show OR the canada parts).

Although we all knew about it with the cast members confirming it, Erin said on her website she's the new Los Angeles Glinda.

Well if you look at the tour schedule for next fall/spring, there are multiple tours scheduled at the same in different cities. My guess would be that, instead of creating a whole new set of sets, props, costumes, etc., they would turn the Chicago show into a second tour production.

That may have been confirmed/denied already though... anyone know?

Jackee Harry (yes, the Sister Sister mom) taking over as Morrible on tour on June 18th. Wikipedia has it listed as of the last few days (so I'd say it's suspected, but definitely not confirmed). I know this was a rumor flying around a few months ago, but since it's only a month away and it's listed again, I feel it's a little more substantiated.
