I JUST had that idea! Why not? SJB and Megan would be PERFECT! They're already friends, and if both got nothing to do before 9 to 5 Bway, why not? They would be amazing together!

If Teal leaves, I want Stephanie, Shoshana or Eden to close LA. The chemistry between any of these four pairs is/would be THROUGH THE ROOF! Of my current plans to see Wicked, I think I might be the most excited for seeing it in November with my sister-- although I must get in my Mackey fix.

I would walk to LA from PA if they would close out the show together.

Megan & Steph WON'T be closing the show. Dolly, Joe, Andy, & Patricia need them to be with them to make changes to the show. There isn't much sense to change something without the ladies there to try them out.

Well if this is true, Megan really needs to leave Wicked. She great and all but she has barely had any breaks from it. before jumping into something else. She has 9 to 5 to worry about, she shouldn't be focused on another show.

I don't think 9 to 5 will be paying Megan during that time period because I don't think she'll actively be working on that show...

At least what I saw from the Pirate Queen castcoms, it looked like everyone parted ways after the out-of-town previews, and didn't come back together until about 6 weeks before the Broadway previews began. Assuming that's the norm, Megan (and the rest of the cast) will be on a break from 9 to 5 between late October and the end of January. I think the creative team stays busy re-working the script, songs, choreography, etc. during this time, but I think the cast has very little involvement during that time span.

I'm no expert at this stuff, I could totally be wrong...but I think it's plausible that Megan has the time and ability to do it. I think it's a good paycheck to her, and probably has some great sentimental value to her, so why not? Now if she could only convince Stephanie to close out the production with her.....

That's LB. The 2nd Wicked tour starts in March.

Please, God... yes. And timing-wise, it would make sense for Emily. She finishes out the LA run as standby mid-January and goes right into the six-week rehearsal period for the 2nd national tour before it kicks off at the beginning of March. Please, please, please, let it be Caissie and Emily (or at least Caissie).

I would die if Emily took over. I love that girl so much. If the tour gets these two leading ladies, they'll be lucky!

She confirmed last night on her Fruit Salad interview that she's coming back to Wicked to close out the LA Production...we know that for a fact, we just need to find out who the Elphaba will be...

I agree that Megan should move on. In 2005, she was one of my top three favorite Glinda. She's gone downhill since then, IMO. Especially in LA. She does sound great in 9-5 from what I've heard.

I mean she probably has gotten a bit bored with the role since she's been doing it for such a long time, but maybe she just wants to keep returning because she loves the role still. I don't want to bring in bootlegs, but I agree that she was a tad bit better on Bway. She's more goofy in her Act 1 here in LA, and even though I love it, it makes me see "silly Megan" on stage, not Glinda, where as on Bway she was "silly Glinda" and a tad bit more realistic. Her Act 2 is the same. Anyway, i love Megan no matter what! Although I have a feeling that after she's done with 9 to 5 on Bway (lets hope that'll be at least 2 years) that she will return to Glinda on Bway or the Toronto production.

How many things can you do with a three-month break? It fit her schedule perfectly, it's a role she would have to do minimal rehearsals to get back into, she gets to stay in LA and spend a few months with some of her former co-workers, it obviously has sentimental value for her, and it's a paycheck! I completely understand why she's coming back to Wicked for a few months, especially based on her schedule.

If you don't like her as Glinda, don't go Simple as that!

Agreed. I don't understand why people here don't realize that it is a JOB. She needs the paycheck. Acting is an unsteady business, so of course someone will accept a high paying job that they like.

I think the producers should be looking for fresh new talent in the role.

Wicked is a great show which obviously means a lot to these ladies. As long as they enjoy it, I say, go for it!

Megan has been with Wicked for over two years longer than Kerry has. I also think Kerry should have left Wicked a long time ago (more like shouldn't have been cast at all). Just my opinion.

I know that Kerry may not be the greatest actress in the world, but she's definetley one of the strongest singers who've ever played the role. She also seems like a very nice and funny person outside of the show. I thik she needs to be a bit more animated and show vulnerability like Idina, Eden, and Stephanie did in their performances.

Her voice doesn't do anything for me, but I am jealous of her hair.

It isn't like they're forcing her to sign a contract. IMO Megan should realise that fresh talent is needed in the role. Just my opinion.

IMO, there really wouldn't be a point in bringing in someone 'fresh' and new for the final 3 months.
Someone new to open SF: yes. That would be amazing as I'd love to see someone unknown.
I just think its really cool that Megan gets to both open and close the LA production since she is so greatly loved here. I bet it means soo much to her which is why, I'm sure, she's doing it.
