I'm am thrilled that Aaron is sticking with Next to Normal, but thought I would miss him in the role of Fiyero. Looks like I'll still have the chance to see him when he comes back.

Well, you're right, i'm sorry. I just said it because I really want Julie to get promoted and yes, she does deserve it, but you're right, not more than anyone else. Please forgive me. A lot of other people deserve lead to. I was just excited and hoping that it was true.

On September 12th Mark Seibert had his last show as principal Fiyero in Stuttgart.

He was replaced by Mathias Edenborn on September 18th.

On November 14th Sabrina Weckerlin will leave the German production too as Alternate Elphaba. She will be replaced by former second-cast Elphaba Roberta Valentini.

(The terms u/s and s/b do not really mean the same in Germany, that's why I used the terms "Alternate" and "second-cast")

There have also been changes in the ensemble but I am not sure about them. I hust know that Paul Boereboom (also second-cast Boq/Moq) will leave together with Sabrina.

Well, Conor (DearOldShiz) called me from the LB stage door and said he heard that come straight from Richard that he most likely will be doing the tour, so that's a pretty legit source!

Basically, it sounds like he's going to play the role but nothing is set in stone. It's possible he doesn't take over right away but with Clifton leaving and LB closing, him taking over right away makes sense.

I think it's an interesting casting choice, I'm open to seeing/hearing how he does.

Does anyone know what day Cliffton and DeeDee will be leaving? I've heard from some people they will be doing a few weeks in Minneapollis but I've also heard they'll leave the same day as Katie, Carmen, and Brad.

According to someone on Delusions, Marcie will open the 2nd tour after doing two months on Broadway.

I havent heard much of Marcie as Elphaba. I'm still hoping it's Caissie for the 2nd tour.

As standby or as lead? If she is lead on Broadway for two months, then she could've gotten one heck of a contract to get her out of her position as lead Nessa in LA. If I'm not mistaken, Marcie was originially scheduled for Nessa through September, right? I don't know too much about contracts, but aren't actors generally wary of changing/cancelling their original contracts? Is it possible that as she signed up as standby, she was promised the next possible opening as lead Elphaba in an American production? And is it also possible that she was a likely candidate to take over for Teal on September 30th or thereabouts, and then Eden was secured to return, so she was promised a short stint on Broadway before opening a Tour? Sorry. This all sounds like gibberish. Carry on!

Oh, and as I pointed out in the LA forums: "why are all the American productions changing their lead Boq in a matter of four weeks? Coincidence? Conspiracy? You be the judge." I like quoting myself. Katie Rose Clarke extended her contract. I don't know how much longer she will be on tour, but she HAS extended. This was confirmed by Carmen. Cliffton and DeeDee will leave the tour on November 16 and Donna Vivino will take over for Carmen on November 4.
