Kristoffer did not replace Norbert in November 2003. He was an understudy. Taye was Norbert's temporary replacement.
Teal-Shade-of-Eden
^ He temporarily replaced him while Norbert was on medical leave. I think it's important to have that in there. wink.gif
ForGood
No, Kristoffer was never a temporary replacement. He was an understudy. Taye was the temporary replacement. There have been other times when performers have been out for an extended period and instead of getting temporary replacements, their understudies went on. Should all of those times be listed in here too? rolleyes.gif

Again wow you've found wikepdia.

IBDB said tha he was Fiyero full time until Taye came:

Kristoffer Cusick

Productions Dates of Production
Wicked [Original, Musical]
Performer: Kristoffer Cusick [Ensemble];
Understudy: Kristoffer Cusick [Fiyero];
Performer: Kristoffer Cusick [Fiyero] - Replacement
(Nov 25, 2003 - Dec 21, 2003)

^IBDB, while not a "wiki" website, still gets its information by having the general public submit to them. So as far as reliability goes, it's definitely a better source than Wikipedia, but everything they say isn't necessarily set in stone.

As for this particular case, I'd go with Jess on this one. A six-day stint as an understudy is hardly enough to be considered a significant "replacement," unless the show actually made note of it (by changing their Playbills, etc). I didn't see the show during that time, so I can't personally say for sure whether or not they did...but it doesn't seem likely, especially if they didn't do it for other understudies with even lengthier runs.
Defyingravity07
Well Legally Blonde did change their playbills when Beth went on after Nikki left she was listed as full-time Brooke even though she was an understudy.
and1987
Add this to the list: PJ Benjamin will replace Lenny Wolpe as The Wizard on July 28, 2008.

These two articles did say that Kristoffer played the role for a little while: http://www.playbill.com/news/article/82964.html http://www.playbill.com/news/article/83159.html

Then Taye joined the cast: http://www.playbill.com/news/article/83240.html

Will any of the cast have changed by October 22nd?
Teal-Shade-of-Eden
Nope... I know Kerry's leaving on November 9th, and Kendra will most likely be leaving that day as well-- I wonder if Cristy's extending...
and1987
Timothy Britten Parker has joined the Broadway cast today which is September 2, 2008. His picture is already on the website.

I updated with the new Boq info... more than tempted to add this to the list:

Someone will replace Kerry Ellis as Elphaba on November 11, 2008.
Someone else will replace Aaron Tveit as Fiyero on November 11, 2008.

I wish we knew... especially about Elphaba! hissyfit.gif

Is Cristy Candler's second temporary last show on November 9th, or is it earlier...?
ForGood
I think Cristy will leave on the 9th.
Miss.Elphie
I think, Kendra will leave Wicked too. (sad.gif)
ForGood
Yeah, Kendra's last day is November 9.
Teal-Shade-of-Eden
Updated with Kevin info... I kept on thinking he was coming back next week. duh.gif
dustomino
Does anyone know when Nicole and Alli are scheduled to leave? I know sometime in July, but is there anything more specific? Like, early or late July?

Because it's pretty hard to get all the information.

Was Kristen Leigh Gorski a swing AND in the ensemble in the OBC?
ForGood
No, she was just a swing.
PinknPopular
That is what I thought because she is int he ensemble and swing list in the first post.
Tyler Medeiross
I wonder whom will replace Lenny, Rondi, Alex, and Kevin once they all leave. hmm.

I also am curious as to who will replace Laura/Jennifer
ForGood
Lenny hasn't been on Broadway for over a year. PJ Benjamin is the current Broadway Wizard.

There's still three months to decide that. Their contracts supposedly expire in January.

Jen DiNoia is doing Wicked Sydney for the next 6 weeks... any ideas to who's going to replace her as stand by, or if anyone will?

Oh, and this is according to her Facebook status:

"Jennifer DiNoia will be doing Wicked in Sydney Australia for the next 6 weeks!!! I leave Monday!!! If you need to contact me, use facebook or my email. Cheers!!!"

Dee rarely misses, so I think the producers will take chances with just Chelsea as the understudy.
jmac42887
Why is Jen going down under, are two of those Elphaba's sick?
inick1224
Another question, is she lead or s/b while she is there?

Amanda Harrison, our Elphaba, has not been on regularly for more than 6 months now because her voice is reportedly in a bad way. Jemma has been doing most shows but I think that's a lot for one person. She's considered the lead among us Aussie fans and has been for a while. Zoe, our understudy, is apparently not popular with the American creative team puting more pressure on Jemma to be on. We've had Carmen Cusack fly to take the edge off Jemma whilst the production was still in Melbourne (and she was great). However, the Elphaba crisis is still ongoing and they need someone to support Jemma. To be frank, the production is in a bit of a mess and they need to remove Amanda in my opinion, promote Jemma to official lead and recast an Aussie alternate/stand-by. This is the second time we've needed an Elphaba very quickly to cover. Nothing against the American Elphabas but I think we'd rather have our own. We thought they were going to re-cast but obviously it hasn't happened yet. You would have thought they'd learned their lesson the first time.

She'll be temp standby with Jemma as temp lead, I believe.
DearOldShiz
Any idea who's going to cover her absence? Is it just going to be Chelsea as the u/s?

Yes, I think that's how it will work. Although we throw around the 'temp lead' term in regards to Jemma, it's pretty much a misnomer as for all intents and purposes she's been performing the funciton of full-time lead for a long while (since May 09). Unofficial lead is probably the best term for Jemma as she is doing the job but isn't recognised officially for doing it.

It is sad as she's a fabulous Elphaba and gave so much to the show. I don't think we'll ever see her return full-time though.

If Jennifer is in Aus for 6 weeks Bway probably won't need a new stand-by and even if problems occur, you guys have access to a range of various Elphabas from various US productions.

There you go. All part of the new International Elphie Trade Market: "I'll swap Jennifer in Sydney for ummmm Julie in New York".

-the question is, is Jennifer worth seeing??? Or is she a more generic Elphaba?

I think Australia is a good experience and opportunity for the US Elphabas who come over. I know Carmen mentioned she really enjoyed the experience whilst in Melbourne. It's a great chance as a working holiday really.
