I saw the Musical Wicked 2 days ago and I thought it was great! I loved the connections between Wicked and The Wizard of Oz so much that I just watched The Wizard of Oz and I've got a lot of questions.
Now is the musical Wicked suppost to be true along with the Wizard of Oz or are they two sepparate stories based on each other? Because I noticed a lot of differences between the two that maybe you can answer.
1. Now I know that Fiyero was turned into the Scarecrow, and that he lost his brain. So does that mean that he lost his memory? I mean he didn't seem to know anything about Glinda or the Wicked Witch of the West. He seemed like a completly different person from the two stories.
2. I know how Boq was turned into the Tin Man and that he could only love Nessa Rose. But in the story of Wicked he was turned into the Tin Man, but in the Wizard of Oz he never knew his other life. He even said that he was in the forrest a year ago choping down trees when it rained and he got rusted there. But in the story Wicked there is no way that that is how long passed in the story. And also how did he lose his memory as well?
3. In Wicked The Tin Man met up with the Lion and was talking about how The Witch made him so scared to stick up for him self so why didn't the Tin Man reconize the Lion when the met up in The Wizard of oz?
4. In the begining of the Wizard of Oz why did Glinda give dorthy the Ruby Slippers? Even though her and the witch were friends? Makes no sense.
5. Why didn't Wicked just keep the same thing with the wizard? I mean in Wicked there is a machine head and in The Wizard of Oz there is a hologram thingy.
6. In the end of The Wizard of Oz the wizard left the scarecrow, tin man and the lion in charge of The Emerald City/Oz how does that work out then the scarecrow went to live with the witch?
I know its a lot of questions and probally stupid ones but I'm just curious....please help out@!

Hi! Maybe you should have posted these questions in the question section... but anyways I'll answer.

He didn't lose his memory; he had to come up with an explanation of his story. He was pretending not to know.
