Which Elphaba, Nessa, and/or Glinda do you think could play one of the other two or just another character in the show's role? Like either what role in Wicked do you think they could do better or just what role you think they could also do besides the one they originally got. Here you can post any info about if any Wicked actors actually did audition or want some role in Wicked but got another. Also, you could maybe post who you think they VISUALLY look more like. If you want, you can post some photoshopped pictures of the switched roles.

I honestly think Megan and Shoshana can switch roles. Vocally, both can do the others role, and I really think it would be amazing to see!

i think megan would have a pretty interesting twist on elphaba though I don't think i would want to see her full time. maybe just once or twice.

since caissie did initially try out for glinda I would kill to see her go on as glinda once but i don't think she's necessarily fit for glinda, more so for elphaba.

Both Shoshana and Eden went on for Nessarose and they were AMAZING.

But I'd love to see Shoshana do Glinda. She'd be great--her soprano is amazing!

And Megan would be gorgeous in green!

I'd also love to see Deedee as Elphaba. That would be so fierce.

Eden was great as Nessarose from what I've heard. I also think Maria Eberline was one of the best Nessas ever. Acting-wise, Deedee would kick ass as Elphaba, but I don't know if she's vocally strong enough.

Yeah I heard Eden and Sho do Nessarose and both were amazing at the role and very fierce Nessas! Loved it. And Megan would be gorgeous in green!

I think Caissie would actually be a very nice Glinda!

But Shoshana would kick ass as Glinda. She could be silly enough and emotional enough and her soprano is amazing!

Victoria Matlock would've been great as Nessarose. She has the look for it and her voice would be good for the role as well.

True, but that doesn't mean I automatically dislike her in every role. She's one of my favorite Tracys in Hairspray.

I can see why CJ was Nessa u/s aswell - I heard her in my head singing WWOTE the other day (and she never even went on)!

I'd've committed every degree of murder known to see her Nessa! So disappointing she never got to do the role apart from in rehearsals. I'd've equally killed to see Sarah's Nessa. London's not great for seeing people in multiple roles since the only person to do 2 of the female leads so far has been Caroline & no-one else now understudies more than one of the roles.

I think Sarah's Nessa is something that would have been... different. I cant see her as fierce to be honest She's just too sweet and, well, Glinda-ish.
But - that wouldnt have stopped me, like Cat, from killing to see her Nessa, and equally CJ's Nessa.

We've seen that Caroline can play Glinda, but her belt is Elphaba worthy, she's just a very talented woman...

I think Kendra would be a really great Elphaba.
Not sure how Cristy Candler would do as Elphaba but I'd love to see it.

I think Deedee Magno would be an amazing Elphaba! Her voice is a powerhouse.

Megan's not my favorite, but I'd be extremely interested in seeing her take on Elphaba.

I didn't like CJ's Elphaba but I think she would have been AMAZING as Nessa. And Caroline as Elphaba would be awesome.

I've heard Sho as Nessa, it was awesome, but as soon as I read this, like many other people, I was like, 'OMG, Meg an' Sho!' I LOVE Sho as Glinda, and would love to see both her and Megan switch roles. Megan's NGD is one of my favourites.
I want to see Kerry as Glinda, but can she make it that high? I can't remember what her range is like.
And just for laughs, I think Lucy and Amanda should switch roles...

Kerry played Eliza Doolittle so probably has the range. Stephanie J. Block has a 3 octave range, her lowest is E3 therefore her highest is E6 so she could probably play Glinda too. Eden and Kristy are apparently sopranos, Alexia and Carmen have done opera/classically trained and loads of others conceivably have the ability to play Glinda. Every Elphaba could play Nessa, whether they'd fit the part is a different matter.

I would love to see Heidi Kettenring go on as Elphaba. She is a real powerhouse but we don't really get to hear much of it in her role as Nessa.

She gives me chills during WWOTE.

I agree with the every Elphaba could play Nessa, but I don't think very many would fit the role though. I would like to see SJB as Nessa.

I never really liker her until i heard 'step by step', then i realised just how AWESOME she is!

Kristoffer Cusick as Boq
Briana Yacavone as Elphaba (though I don't know if she quite has the vocal chops)
Shoshana Bean as Galinda (she's been around Megan for so long I'm sure the zaniness has rubbed off on her haha)
Carol Kane as Nessa (just kidding)

Agreed about DeeDee as Elphaba. As far as Elphabas playing Nessa...I think a lot of them are too strong to play Nessa effectively, although I suppose it would depend on the Elphabas with whom they performed.

Someone above said that Steph has the range to sing Glinda, and she probably does, but there's a darkness to her voice (most of the time) that definitely makes her an Elphaba, in my opinion.

After hearing Megan do some other things, I wonder how she'd be as Elphaba. And I don't know enough about her voice to be sure, but I'd love to see Alexis Carra as Nessarose (she's played the witch's mother).

If Im not mistaken, Neka Zang said something along the lines of all witches mothers have the range to be Nessa. Something along the lines of since Cristy was the Witches Mother and Nessa U/S they keep the same vocal ranges in those tracks. Kind of like how all Witches Father's u/s the wizard and Dillamond

In honor of the recent Natalie/Vicki switch pictures, i wanna revive this! Same question! Which wicked stars do you see playing other Wicked characters? (Nessa, Elphaba and Glinda)

I think I remember hearing somewhere that Sabrina Weckerlin (Stuttgart) alternated the role of Elphaba and played Glinda in some special appearances. There are pics somewhere around here.

Yes, she understudied Elphaba and played Glinda opposite Pia Douwes' Elphaba in a concert/gala event.

As we've said elsewhere on occasion and after Jest End, Louise Dearman as Elphaba would be quite something (certainly vocally at least). She's got quite a dark tone to her belt which would sound really interesting on the Elphaba songs.

ETA: For the above list, Sarah Earnshaw was a Nessa understudy with CJ and Caroline in the OLC, though again never performed. She's still there, maybe there's hope of it yet!

I'd love to hear Kendra Kassebaum do Elphaba; Shoshana Bean did a great Glinda when she and Megan swapped roles.

I think Natalie Daradich has a great belt and could do well on Elphaba, as could Michelle London.
