I still think Dianne Pilkington could do Elphaba, her belt is amazing...

Since Christina DeCicco originally auditioned for Elphaba I'd love to see her perform the role. I think Victoria also auditioned for Glinda, so I'd love to see them play opposite each other in the opposite roles.

Personally I see where you're coming from. Shoshana's never really wowed me with her acting, it's really her voice that has won me over with her as Elphie. I do love her Wicked Witch Of The East as well.

I'm not really counting that as wasn't that basically just a test of Wicked for Germany and they only did DG, no?

Yeah, I wouldn't count that considering it was for like two songs.

I think I read somewhere on here that Chelsea Krombach was considered for being both the Elphaba and Glinda understudy, so I wonder what she would be like as Glinda.

I recall that - plus Megan Hilty & Christina DeCicco both went in auditioning for Elphaba and ended up playing Glinda.

I'm pretty sure Megan didn't audition for Elphaba. Her friends just assumed she would. Christina did audition for Elphaba though.

Chelsea certainly has the voice and range to be a Glinda. Ironically right now she is Cheno's understudy in Promises Promises.

I guess whoever first said she was covering the role was mistaken. Kristin's understudies are Sarah Jane Everman and Megan Sikora, who are of course both Wicked alums.

Laura Dysarczyk, Alexa Green, Annie Funke, and Kyle McDaniel performed at an AIDS benefit concert last night (and tonight if anybody's interested (minus Wicked)). Now to tie this in to the topic of the board: Alexa sang The Wizard and I "And one day he'll say to me... GLINDA..." It was really, really good. A bit unusual to hear a Glinda voice in an Elphaba song, but she did it really well
