Are we only counting Elphabas who have gone on? Because Christine Dwyer, Stephanie Torns (Broadway), Natalie Weiss, Anne Brummel (Chicago), are not listed.

I think you could add Ebata Masae, Megumi Hamada, and Asami Higuchi.
We know this much:
Megumi Hamada:
Originated Tokyo
Asami Higuchi:
Currently doing Osaka, was original standby and replacement for Tokyo
Ebata Masae:
Closed Tokyo, originated Osaka

There is also Chiaki Kimura. I'm trying to find out for sure if she was a lead or just a stand by in Osaka, but right now I'm thinking lead, since they had an interview with her and have tons of photos and footage.

Jess, it turns out that for Ebata Masae, Masae is her given name. So if you're listing them alphabetically by surname, she would be Masae Ebata.
My bad.

Are you sure Natalie never went on? I think she's the one that everyone had the big fight over her acting. She also has a greenified pic, unless that was a stand in or something. Not saying you're wrong, I'm just asking if I might be thinking of someone else.
ForGood
Feb 4 2011, 10:04 PM
99.9% sure.

The argument was about her acting in general, and the greenified pic must have been from her put-in.

Laura Bunting - Australian tour standby
Nikki Davis-Jones - West End standby
Stevie Tate-Bauer - West End understudy

If we're listing Laura Bunting as the Australian tour standby, we might want to mark Jemma Rix as the Australian tour lead. And Zoe Gertz performed May 18th, I believe, in Adelaide, so she can be listed as the Australian tour understudy.

Per ForGood's permission, I will be taking over the Elphaba and Glinda lists. I will make a new thread, but I just wanted to let everyone know that my thread (it will be called Elphabas - The Definitive List 2.0) is the one to comment on, if a new Elphaba goes on.
