Ok so I saw Wicked for the 3rd time on Oct 30th-Wicked 2 year anniverary in case you didn't know. Shoshana was out sick so Brandi played Elphaba. She was very good, no where near sho but it was only her second performance in the part. I thought she was just a little over the top in her acting, but that is understandable before you feel; comfortable in the role. Her voice was great though especially her lower register-it was so rich and beautiful.
So here are the highlights:
1.Megan's face while thje ensemble sang "she's dead" it was such a happy yet deeply sad look-so amazing, it went right to the heart
2.Megan's last note in No One Mourns the Wicked, I love that she put the optional highnotes that KC intraduced back in. The not was simply perfect.
3. Rob Sapp as Boq was sooo cute. He was laugh out loud funny in Dear old Shiz and What is this Feeling-he was looking at Galinda and biting his book b/c of his excitment. Then when he retrieved his book after Fiyero tosses it off stage, he just kind of wandered around mummbling "I have a book"
4. Brandi in What is this Feeling-was so funny making fun of Galinda by acting ditsy-def. one of Brandi's best scenes
5. Megan's popular was as always hysterical-I love that woman-The whole transforming your frock asnd then the oooh, was funnier than I have ever seen she was so into it
5. In I'm Not That Girl Brandi went up on the last note-which was kind of dissapointing since I think it changes the mood of the song and it's great when sho hits the low note
6. One short Day-Brandi was having trouble with her hat and seemed kind of lost at the beginning so Megan led her to her spot in the mIddle of the ensemble-it was soooo cute
7. Defying GravityBrnadi did a real good job considering how tough it is. My highlight was Megan;s face while brandi is lifted up and is singing, she just captured the moment and kept nodding approvingly when Brandi got the notes and timing right

ok Act II-did you think I was done-no way lol

1. 1st off, Why does not one ever get the Megan/Evita pose; I think it's hysterical
oh yeah and I want that outfit and the shoes
2. Thank Goodness was AWESOME-that is definitley one of my favortite numbers, I think it's so underrated-Megan hits every note perfectly and does such a good job changing emotions and registers so quickly
3. The Corn Field fight-gotta love this scene. Brandi was definitly more comfortable in the second Act
4. No Good Dead was Great-Brandi's low notes shined
5. Best for last-Megan was the best I have ever seen her in For Good-it must have been the second anniversary vibe, but she was sooo emotional, she could hardly get through it, which made the moment so much more moving. When she hid while Elphie melts she had to keep wiping her nose and sniffing.

oh yeah and afterward Megan gave a little speach asking for donations for Broadway Equity Fights Aids in which she showed all the merchandise you could buy to support the cause. She was so giddy and must have cracked a dozen jokes in a 3 minute period-I love her, I love her, I love her,I love her,I love her...she's just so nice

By the way Wicked Day was Awesome
ok I'm done now, hope you enjoyed it

That is a great review. I LOVE megan's version of popular with that LONG pause between trying to change the frock the first and second time, and then her shouting "BALLGOWN!!!!!" :ha:

Michelle was there and real good, she played nessa a little different than I had seen her do the 2 times before. I think she awas trying to amke it a little more dramatic. I loved her completley bored look when Boq is trying to dance with her. Rob Sapp and Michelle were really good together as well

It sounds like you had a wonderful time. Thanks for the reviews. I've seen the touring company & thought they were terrific. I would love to see some of the other casts. Maybe one of these days I will get to NYC or Chicago.
