Elphaba chants in Wicked Witch of the East...both when she is putting a spell on Nessa's shoes and when she is trying to save Boq. Does anyone here happen to have a full libretto of Wicked and know the exact words that she chants in those two parts?

haha omg I do that with my Grimmerie all the time!! When I first got the Grimmerie the first thing I did with it was open it up and start chanting eleka nahmen. lol.

And WWotE is my favorite song too!! The way that Nessa and Elphaba's voices blend together so beautifully when Elphaba is chanting and Nessa is singing the "Alone and loveless here, with just the girl in the mirror... just her and me, the Wicked Witch of the East..." part. Oh man. It makes me cry every time I hear it.

I've been looking for those words EVERYWHERE! thanks for posting them! my favorite part is the recurring 'we deserve eachother..' because every time someone says it it's different... but that's my favorite part. I love nessa and boq's part in the play.. its really important to me.

Ana and Heidi do a wonderful job in that scene.. I love Heidi's portrayal of Nessa, especially the way she says 'eachother.' she kind of speeds it up a little bit and it just sounds so much better and more heartfelt for some reason.

Trust me, so would I. I need to buy a Grimmerie and take it to dress reheasals for my ballet recital, so I can do it onstage with the really cool dimmed lighting they use at the theater we go to! I get the feeling that my best friend & I will be acting out quite a few scenes from musicals - heck, we sang La Vie Boheme during dance class last night!

haha omg my dance company just had our big show a few weeks ago and during tech when no one was on stage me and one of my friends totally performed Popular and Defying Gravity.

And OH MY GOODNESS. When Kris took me backstage at the Oriental... and I went onstage and I was looking around at all the sets, and then looking out into the audience... it was SO HARD to keep myself from bursting into a chorus of Defying Gravity or The Wizard and I or something. I was like omg this is the same stage that Elphaba is on every night I need to sing! Like I saw the part of the stage where it is shaped like a gear (the front part) and I was like this is where Elphaba stands for the first part of What is This Feeling? I need to sing it!! lol.

I PISSED....WHEN I MIX MY FILES.......IT DOESENT MIX LIKE IT SHOULD....IN THE SAME TIME.....LIKE IN EACH PART I PAUSED WHERE THAT PERSON DIDDENT SING....AND WHEN I MIXED THEM....IT JUST PLAYED ALL OF NESSA'S PART....THEN ALL OF BOQ'S PART THEN ALL OF ELPHABA'S PART!!! AH!!! :soapbox:

When I didn't have my Grimmerie, I used to do the NGD chants and take the little songbook that came with the Wicked CD. I was so cute at 11, wasn't I? :mrgreen: /threadjack?
