Hey just wondering if anyone else saw the show on New Year's eve with James Smith playing Boq? I thoroughly enjoyed his performance and wondering if he's been on prior to this? First time I've seen him and wondering what others thought of his portrayal? A strong vocalist which was highlighted at Carols during the group song Joyful, Joyful. Also, he acted the besotted Boq without being overly goofy which I much preferred and my fave Boq so far in seeing him, Anthony and Ross.

Yes, he's been on a handful of times, mostly when Anthony was away for a few shows when fulfilling a previous commitment in South Africa.

He's my second favourite Boq.

Ah thanks for that Sambora! I was curious cause he seemed to know the role very well, and on seeing Ross in the ensemble thought HUH? Figured he would be on instead, seeing as Anthony was not. LOVED James's voice…very strong vocally and now looking forward to seeing Stuart when he takes over the role.

I've really missed seeing Wicked...so it was a truly enjoyable show for me, and VERY special being New Year's Eve! What a way to bring in the New Year! A few friends I've shared New Year's celebration stories with just DON'T get it....even those that love the show! I find myself getting a little defensive saying it's only my 8th time and that there are those who have seen Wicked anywhere between 20 to over 200 times (latter being overseas of course), but all I get is raised eyebrows and can literally see the '000' emergency phone number being dialled in their eyes! I guess I won't be asking them if they want to try for lottery!
