hello fellow Ozians (lol i know that's super cheesy but but i had to say it lol_2.gif

anyway, my name is robert , i'm 23 years old from a little hole in the wall called Auburndale, Florida. theres not much to say about it except for we have lots of citrus. so i'll just move on to what got me into Wicked in the first place.

on november 9. 2007 me and a few of my family members were coming home from workin. we were stopped at a red light and as i was looking at the radio my cousins girlfriend screamed " oh my got they're gonna hit us." all i remember was looking up and seeing a silver toyota tacoma crunching into my car.

needless to say my foot was on the brake and the impact crush it. so i had to have surgery and blah blah blah. if youve been in a wreck then you know all the legal mumbo jumbo you have to go thru. so i think it was like may of 08 that i got my settlement and there were a few things i knew i had to do so i did them. then all this family dramam happened and i decided you know what? BLOW IT!!! the very first thing that popped into my was NEW YORK CITY HERE I COME roll.gif

so i booked everything and since i had already known i was gonna go to nyc pretty much as soon as i knew i was getting any money i had remembered visiting this very site a few weeks or so before and i thought OMG im goin to see wicked. the wizard of oz was my favorite movie thoughout my entire childhood.

so we went and stayed at the millenium broadway hotel and on the second day i went to see the concierge guy and asked about wicked tickets. he had some for the next night and i bought 2. rows u 22 and 24 i think.

i purposely didnt want to know who i was seeing yet. so when kendra kassebaum came down in that bubble i almost died. all i could think is OMG its really glinda. she did somewhat of a subdued-ditzy kinda of thing that reminded me of the glinda from the movie. im not gonna coninue with a full recap of the performance because even though the seats were no the greatest that sho was flawless for me, any mishaps or messups i didnt see because it was aexactly how i thought it would be. and by the way stephanie j block was elphaba, and did a fantastic job too. oh yeah and i enjoyed miriam margolyes as morrible too since im kind of a harry potter dork anyway.

so that whole trip was great and we even ended up on the spur of the moment flying to los angeles afterwords but i didnt realize they had awicked there until after i was home.

now fast forward to june 19 4 days after my birthday. i had a few dollars left so i decided i was gonna go back to NYC. so i did all by myself. well i had been thinking alot about what other show i wanted to go see but none of them appealed to me like wicked so i decided what the heck im gonna see it again. this time it was june 21 8pm show and i was super excited since i had did tones of research on kendra since my first time and i also knew that kerry ellis had replaced sjb. i wasnt gonna get no cheap ticket and i justified it as my birthday present to myslef so i got section ORCH, row EE, seat 111. for the people that dont know thats one seat from dead center fifth row from the stage and in my opinion is probably one of the best in the house. not too close but close enough to get the real effect.

anyways since youre probably over reading and my hands hurt ill just say this show was as flawless as the first and it most definately wont be my last unless they decide to shut down every production in the entire world. tongue.gif

You too, huh? Indeed...there's not much to say about poor ole Auburndale...cept that I desperately want to get out of it! Haha.

wow ohmy.gif thats cool.....who woulda ever thunk there would be another fan from ole polk county... biggrin.gif are you gonna go see the show in ft myers?
Kitty17794
I wasn't aware it was coming back to the state! I saw it in Orlando while it was here in 2008, but was unimpressed with the theatre's sound quality, and the Elphaba. Sooo I'd certainly love to see it again when it comes back around!

it'll be in ft myers in march and jacksonville in may
