I got 2 emails from Laura Dysarczyk and she said she read my reviews and stuff on a forum, im asuming it was this one cause this is the only forum i post on anymore. So if this is really Laura i would watch what you say you never know who might read it:

Was she refering to herself in 3rd person??? It says her name and hurt her I asked her about it in my email and she didn't answer that question.

If some1 actually had the time to make a fake e-mail by a star of "Wicked" then that's really saying something about that person. That's just gross if that was some1 pretending to be Laura. I doubt it's actually Laura because people on this forum can be mean to a lot of stars of "Wicked" *cough RUE cough* but nobody else has gotten emails.

Most proffessional performers would not criticize someone for giving their honest opinion of a particular show/performance/performer. It's part of the business that they're in and they know that. I'm sure they'd much rather hear people's honest opinion, so that then maybe they could improve on weak areas, or change things that aren't coming across that well.

I very highly doubt any serious performer would have a go at someone for posting an honest review. And if they do, they're in the wrong career!

Either way...............Adam has said time and time again that we KNOW FOR SURE of Steph, and the whole Blockhead family, Kendra, Jenna, also the lawyers of Wicked + the directors and produces of Wicked coming to this site and no matter who wrote that letter, it is true, these people do have feelings, and yea everyone is entitled to their opinion but lets just keep everything positive or give constructive criticism.....nothing against you Laura, I thought you had a great review and thank you for it.....but just in general lets just think before we speak....besides that I think we have a pretty great, fun, and active forum with great people!!

When I am talking about something I have seen (in regards to Wicked or other stuff, one I will mention shortly) but the worse I ever try to say about a person's performance is that they had an off night.

Mainly because, even when a performer is at their absolute worse, they are still 100% better than I am. They do things I could never do.

I used to write reviews of hockey games on another list that I am on. Fans, in general, attack the referees as terrible and we need better. I don't say that they had a bad game, but I will say that they missed a call.

Now, having said that, only once have I really gone after a hockey referee and that is because he made a call in front of him with 2 minutes left that no one ever made and should be called. Cost my team the win that night and I have never forgotten. Didn't notice that, huh? :ha:

I think its a fake. I read the review. I didnt think it was all that cruel or deflammatory. The poster was just calling it like she saw it. Besides which, I think most performers would have a thicker skin what with being reviewed time and time again not just by fans but by media (who lets face it can be a lot more critical) also. Then again, what do I know?

If this is for real, it reminds me of the Anthony Rapp debacle at bwayworld.com and imdb.com. In short, he contacted someone who posted a negative review and asked him to reevaluate his opinion (read: change it). But whomever that person was (Laura or not) really does have a point--they're people too, and that anyone posting a review should try not to undermine their efforts.

I know they read, and I like that they read. For the most part, this site is a great source of positive feedback and constructive criticism. Also, it's a far cry from some of the other Wicked boards that are unrelenting in their negative criticism of some one or other of the performers (the Gregory Maguire board, I am looking at you), so it helps raise the fans in the performers' eyes.
