Well, would you???
Madkorean09
My girlfriend has never seen Wicked, and I've invited her over to see it...but the time hasn't come yet...but the thing is that I've talked about Wicked so much that I think she's sick of it....(that's until she watches it!!)
elven_ringbearer
I want my first dance to be to "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge and have "As Long As You're Mine" somewhere in there, maybe the last dance.
katiekisses04
Are there really wedding-appropriate songs in Wicked? I mean, I love the music...but there aren't really any love songs... Unless you count "As Long As You're Mine" but still...that's not exactly a wedding song :ha:

MisterMorrible

UIdefyingGravity

I would sneak in ALAYM somewhere. nothing else. lol
SweetOZ
Haha I was just thinking about this at my cousin's wedding. I was thinking about having As Long As You're Mine played as the first dance.
MeganS
probably ALAYM
GreenGirl
Um, I know who I want to marry, but he doesn't know yet...........but we both sing. And both of us want to be in musical theatre, so...................we would probably end up singing ALAYM. While dancing, of course.
iluvidinamenzel
just like a lot of you guys have said, i would sneak in ALAYM but most likely nothing else
Nessarose
Guys think about the lyrics to As long as your mine for a second! It would not be appropriate.....

And if it turns out its over to fast ill make every last moment last.

Thats like saying your marriage may not last. I love the song but at a wedding?

I think we might have to fight Erika for it also

Thats ok I guess you can have it cause I don't see Adam proposing anytime soon
MissGalinda
meep, I'm not sure....I'd probably sneak a few Broadway love songs in there (including ALAYM). but I have a loong time to decide.
Dram_edy00
I don't think so...I mean, like the rest of you I LOOVE ALAYM (yeh I'm gonna find my own Fiyero sumday haha!)...but I don't think I would include it if I were to ever get married. Great discussion topic tho!

I would love to have ALAYM play at my wedding...first dance...nope...but definatley in there somewhere.
gravity_defier
um...i'm only 13 years old so i wouldn't know...but anything wicked-themed would be cool!
Elphaba/Belle
No, I want a perfect wedding, and Wicked would somehow mess it up. I don't know how, but it just wouldn't fit with the way I want my wedding to go.

HAHA like Idina was talking about her Wedding Days and she started singing Saving All My Love. and she was like, this is the number 1 requested song at a wedding...and then she starts singing again and then later shes like, "Is anybody listening to the words? Highly requested song about a woman having an affair with a married man that contends to leave his family for her! Yeah! ...Song you're gonna profess your undying love to your husband with? Oh! And if that didn't get worse: a bar mitzvah; a mom sometimes would request it as a dance with her son!"

HAHA i found that hilarious...

So I guess I can see what you mean with ALAYM...but if millons of people request Saving All My Love, I don't think anyone would notice the "and if it turns out, it's over too fast..." part in ALAYM. Except for Idina, maybe. lol
Oziad
Its a little too early for me to be thinking about a wedding, but As Long As Your Mine would be totally wedding-apropriate biggrin.gif

I got it played at our last school dance, too

:ha: :ha: I love that part!!!!!

I don't think I'd play ALAYM for my first song...maybe somewhere during the reception...but idk
Ms. Owner
I think I want a WHOLE Broadway wedding......and some how mix in Disney..................so I would like to have the whole ceremony all disney...you know carriage, etc...and the whole reception be broadway! But like everyone else I have a ton of time to plan
Elphaba/Belle
I know someone who wanted a Cinderella wedding. I was like..... OK. I am to much of a perfectionist, I wouldn't be able to have a wedding with anything B'way or Disney. And that's coming from me of all people. LOL!

Yeah...that's kinda what I was thinking. It's one of my faves from the show..but the lyrics don't really lend themselves to the idea of marriage being the start of a future for a couple.

"Say there's no future for us as a pair...." Awkward.

i want my first dance to be to "As Long As Your Mine" lol
FunkyChicken
..As some of you know already. I had ALAYM and FOR GOOD playing at my wedding when the guests were seated. But we got engaged at Wicked, so it had really special meaning to us. (Not that we both don't love Wicked, of course). But it was the "start" of our marriage journey, so we only thought it appropriate for Wicked to be at the wedding it'self.

Our guests loved it. (most are theatre goers and knew Wicked).
Fiyero's Third Lover
I would totally play a Wicked song. But I think that it would only "As Long As You're Mine." It seems to me to be the only song from Wicked that would sound right at a wedding. Just imagine the beigining of "No One Mourns the Wicked" playeing during a slow dance...lol
PrettyWickedWitch
Yes!*goodwitch*

scott9389
Maybe ALAYM, or just the band playing for good, but I know for sure, i'll be singing a duet with my wife or our first dance will be to "I'll Cover You" from Rent
PrettyWickedWitch
I Would Completely Have A Wicked Wedding. The Wedding Is The Bride's Day & If My Fiancee Doesn't Like It Tough Teakettles! :goodwitch:

I Would Dress As Elphie Adorn The Church In The Famed Castle Style.

My Bridemaid's Dresses Would Be Emerald Green. The Groomsmen Would Be Flying Monkies & The Wizard Would Marry Us.

At The Reception I Would Have Bottles Of The Elixir In The Middle Of The Tables, With Black & Green Decor With As Long As Your Mine As The Wedding Song & The Whole Wicked Soundtrack To Dance To

:elphie:

I Am A True Wicked Witch! hehe..:elphie3:
PorkyPetunia

daisy
Despite being married for me a loooooong.. way off, but I'd love to sneak ALAYM in there!

Seasons of Love would also be a lovely song to play biggrin.gif
*comesandgoesbybubble*
OOOOOOohh!!! I never even thought of this, but I'm so doing it now.

I'll probably play ALAYM and For Good... and probably Popular as one of those fun songs... xD
