Orchestra, Row B, center seat BEST VIEW IN DA HOUSE!!!

Based on personal experiences, I think that orchestra seats are more enjoyable, but I don't think there are really "bad" seats in the Gershwin. Even most partial view seats are still worthwhile....

i like the front mezzanine. those are the best without a doubt. you can see the entire stage. you have to see the entire stage to get the real experience of the show.

Central E (orchestra) - just phenomenal!

I was in the orchestra...row M. AMAZING seats, I could see everything!

I have row U. How is that in perspetive. How small does everyting look?
riffing.love
Every row offers a different view. Sitting ZZ (yes, the last possible row orchestra) was one of my favorite Wicked experiences. The Singing was amazing and you were able to view the whole show. However, close'wise' my favorite was BB & CC.
Amazing seats. But row A is the 'perfect/ideal' row of the Orchestra.
alittlewicked22
when i saw the show I think i was abour row Q andd it was like. the back part of hte orchestra but the first row in the back part. it was amazing!! you were far enough back to see EVERYTHING but close enough to not loose their faces//facial expressions

I had row R which is only a few rows infront of U and the seats were amazing. The people on stage are not hard to see at all.
Chistery23
i had the very last row of the rear mezzanine

it was the best show of my life

ive had 3 really different seats- all are good at WICKED

What about the last row in the 1st mezz. Even so I amsure they are great
GreenGirl
I would not suggest sitting in the back of the mezzanine if you wear glasses (unless you wear them to watch the show). I forgot mine when I saw Les Mis and I couldn't see the faces.

I think orchestra is the best. Whoever said Row B, I second that! Best seat I've ever had!
When*Monkeys*Fly
you should get mezzanine...i got center mezzanine 3rd row and it was absolutely perfect! i could see everythinggg!

Orchestra! Woot! I'm going this summer too!

OK, I checked Telecharge recently for front-mezzanine seats and the first results were for "row G." However, when I looked at the seating chart there WAS no "row G" (they're all numbered). Would I be right in assuming that row G = sixth row from the front?
IamAsprite
Row q in orchestra was- eh ok.
Apster
I sat row X and I thought it was fine. It's probably a bit harder to read facial expressions from there, especially if you're used to seeing the show closer up, but it's definitely not like you need a pair of binoculars to see the stage.
Elphie of the OBYC
Center no matter what, and floor seats between rows B and maybe G (not the front, you'll hurt your neck!) or first or second row mezz are best. :elphie3:

Shoshana Bean left at the beginning of last month and was replaced by Eden Espinosa... who is just as fabulous as Shoshana, I might add! Megan Hilty's still there and she's still as cute as ever.

EDEN lOVE RIGHT HERE!

I believe that mezzanine row A overlaps orchestra row L....it's on the Gershwin seating chart, but I'm too lazy to check. It's on wickedthemusical.com somewhere.

OH MY GOSH!! Hahaha, I can't pass up a chance to talk about Sho!

Shoshana is SOOOO amazing!!!! imo, there will never be another Elphie like her - she's so talented! Her voice is incredible, and she's a great actress. But yeah, like someone else sadly said, Sho left the show last month :cry1: From what I've heard, Eden's great though.

And MEGAN HILTY!! WOW!! You're really lucky to be seeing her - she's so adorable! Her popular is absolutely amazing!

Have a wonderful time - wherever you sit!! haha

Tickets are only available up to a certain date. As of right now, the latest date you can get is July 30, 2006, but if you check back in a couple months, they'll probably have released a new block of tickets by then.
jstarz927
there really isn't a bad seat at Wicked, it all depends on how much you're willing to pay. And depending on what you want to see...sit further back and higher up if you want to appreciate the full majesty of the sets, sit close in the orchestra if you want to see the actor's facial expressions.

Don't sit front mezz, they're 9 rows or so and a complete ripoff at $100 with the rear mezz at $50 and twice as big, giving you the exact same view.

I recommend partial view orchestra seats...you sit 7th or 8th row orchestra, pay $55 rather than $100 and you miss a little chunk of background scenery.
NannerboBanner
I've seen it always from the floor - from the front row, middle-ish of the front section - center & left side, and the last row. Basically any seat in the theatre is really good.

And I'd say if you can't get front section orchestra seats, I'd opt for front mezzanine. Makes DG look cooler, anyway!
mc751n
ANY SEAT IS A GOOD SEAT.. even the partial view seats. The BEST seats would be center: first two rows Mezz, or anywhere from BB to M in orchestra!

Tickets are released in blocks, usually of six months each. To buy after that block you have to wait until they release the next one.

Wicked is definitely playing at Christmas, and tickets may even be more expensive then because that's when the most people want to see it. Good luck trying to get tickets to that

just curious: can you see facial expressions from the mezz?

Scratch that. I just looked at the seating chart...loge row AA overlaps orchestra row J, and front mezzanine row A overlaps orchestra row O.
Thank you so much!!!!!

Yep! but bring binoculars just in case. And don't get front mezz...it's only about five rows worth of $100 tickets and rear mezz is almost exactly the same distance away and half the price.

Thank you for saying that... I was about to get front mezz and I wouldn't want to waste my money.

How do you go about getting partial view tickets? I believe you mentioned that you prefer them. Also, would you recommend the cancellation line?
