I'm seeing Wicked in Omaha on May 31st and I wanted to write a letter to the wig supervisor and ask him/her some questions. Maybe go backstage and see the wigs. OMG, that'd be a dream come true! Can someone please tell me what his/her name is? Thanks!!

Do you think the letter will get there in time? Do you think they would even have time to read before I go in 13 days? THANKS EVERYONE!

you might be fine! i think that it would get there in time. however i wouldn't directly ask the wig supervisor if you could go backstage. I would tell him/her that you are very interested in wigs and just ask for general wig information in your letter! Then if you are lucky he/she might invite you to go backstage! hope that helps any

I don't mean to burst your bubble (No pun intended) but there is like a .0000000001% chance you would go backstage. To go backstage you need to no someone in the cast or crew. They wont let a random person who writes a letter go backstage just because they want to. Everyone wants to go backstage. I don't mean to be rude or get your hopes down but its very unlikely you will go backstage. But still write your letter and maybe they could answer your questions. Also i would send it to the Stage Manager!

you can but try though, i knew someone which is why i went backstage in london, but it still had to go through the stage/production manager so i would write to them

as for their name it must be online somewhere?

I agree with the fact to not directly ask to go backstage, but I'm sure there's no harm in writing them telling them that you're just very interested!! And yes, I think sending it through the stage manager would be a good idea too. I got backstage through a letter (I'm still not sure exactly what it said, seeing as how it was my dad who sent it and then surprised me the day of) but it was through a letter. :] But I'm sure it'll get there in time... hope that helps at least a little.

Actually, I sent an e-mail to the current Christine in the Phantom national tour asking if my parents and I could go backstage for my mom's bday and she was really nice and said yes. So if you're nice and interested in learning I'm certain someone will take her. These actors and stagehands know what it's like to be a student and trying to soak up information. Most of them are more than willing to further knowledge.
