Okay kind of hijacking 'Wicked in Germany' in asking about Metronom theatre seating for Tanz der Vampire BUT seeing as Wicked will there in March...figured others would want to know too. z4dwink.gif For those who have seen Tanz or other musicals at the Metronom, can you please advise about seating? Have the opportunity to get front row in the centre strip of seats but hessitated cause not sure how high the stage is? I realise it's a new theatre and all with good views from every possible angle but only going to see Tanz once (Jan 28th or 29th) and want to make it the best possible experience! Thanks!! elphie3.gif

The first 8 rows of the Metronom are not raked. They are on flat ground so that would be up to you if you would want to sit in those. Starting with the 9th row the seats are raked all the way up to the back of the theatre. When I was there for Tanz I sat in the raked area in the center and those were perfect. Im not sure how the view is from the first 8 rows, im sure its fine, but I didnt want to take a chance of sitting in flat seats since im short lol. The stage height is pretty normal I think, I dont think the people that sat in the front had too much of a problem seeing over if any problem at all! Hope that helped a little bit. Im sure wherever you sit you'll be just fine! AND try to get an aisle seat because it is WAY cooler when the vampires are like right next to you as they go up and down the aisles. laugh.gif

I was going to advice the same thing: get an aisle seat!! biggrin.gif

I saw Tanz from row 15, dead center, which was an amazing experience. I had no heads in the way, the distance to the stage was good to see and feel everything. I didn't know about the first 9 rows, but I think the view is (quite) good from most of the seats smile.gif

But really, if you have the chance, take the aisle seat tongue.gif

LOL i sat in row 10, the aisle seat on the right side smile.gif lol When i was on the phone with the ticket guy he was like "Have you seen the show before?" and i was like "umm no i live in the U.S." in which his response was "OH MY GOSH I must put you in an aisle seat!" lol To my surprise he definitely knew what he was talking about biggrin.gif

That's so nice! biggrin.gif
We booked Tanz through internet, so we thought: let's get the middle seats for a good view... we didn't know there would be vampires crossing the theatre!

(but the one we had on the phone when weI wanted to book Wicked... oh my. She didn't speak English and my friends German is better than mine, but still not very good... and we had to spell the name on the creditcard. Let's just say: it was hard to get it correctly and without any random umlauts tongue.gif.
And when my mum got the phone bill... it had cost 17 euro. Oops. laugh.gif At least our seats were front row biggrin.gif)

THANKS so muich all! biggrin.gif So glad I asked and very interesting in that instinctively I was going to book the aisle only cause I too am short, and figured I could sway my head either side just in case I get someone VERY tall in front of me. fryingpan.gif I usually prefer centre seating and in the front rows but was not sure. Looking forward to being that close to vampires! wink.gif LOL have the DJ Bobo Eurovision song in my head now... "Vampires Are Alive!" tongue.gif
