I've downloaded some brushes for PSP9 and have unzipped them to the brushes folder but I was just wondering how you use them? I'm new to making graphics and I know its a silly question but any help would be appreciated

Are you supposed to just be able to 'paint' with them? At the moment they are only showing up as like backgrounds/textures? Is this right or do I have to do something with them to be able to 'paint' with them?

trying to put it simply.......

when u download the brushes and unzip them and all that good stuff

go to ur brushes in PS and hit "load brushes" and pick the one u want to upload, if its compatable with ur version of PS they will appear in ur list of useable brushes

i dont really paint with them i use them more as a stamp, like in all my banners, including yours....

I don't think the ones I have downloaded are compatable then because I can't seem to 'load' them. In the 'Browse' menu under brushes they are coming up as thumbnails, but I can't seem to load them as brushes.

but if you type in to google......... "free photoshop brushes for version (number here)" then you'll be good =]

Another quick question. How do you do the 'text' bits in your sigs, Y'know the bit behind 'Nicole and Alli' in my sig? Is it a brush?

the TXT is well in photoshop u just clip the "T" and drag a dotted box onto ur banner, choose the font and color and such. its not a brush. hope thats not too confusing lol
